I tried using the stuck character service, the first time I tried it, I got my character list and submitted the request, then I got an error. Then I tried to go through the process a second time, and simply opening the stuck character webpage prompted a “something went wrong on our end” error. I cleared my cache and cookies and I still get the same error. I tried in a different browser, I tried on my phone, still can’t get the character select page. I tried opening a ticket and got redirected to the article about the service where “Something” is going wrong on blizzard’s end. Not sure what to do at this point.

Same here, if you click on the “these options did not work” option, instead of taking you to open a ticket, it just takes you to the beginning of the same article that did not work. It is very frustrating on my end.

Same. can i get a manual unstuck if the service is gonna be down for a while? Cuz i cant play my main at all right now.

Ya, this is kind of silly. I fall through the map walking through a doorway and have no way to resolve it so I can play on my main which is the only one I use.
Adding to the thread cause I also can’t play my main through the current storyline and will need to start the new expansion over with an alt to play at all.
Same issue here, character is just loading to a full blue (or orange) screen. I can see myself for a split second on my mount before I get disconnected and on top of that, the tool is broken to unstuck myself. very frustrating. I’ve open tickets, in the mean time I guess I’ll play alts 
Issue is still happening, got stuck after leaving a dungeon and the character stuck service is down 
Edit: IM FREE! Queued for a follower dungeon and used my hearthstone. Am now safely in Dornogal.
Still happening, and you absolutely cannot open just a normal ticket it would seem… So now I am essentially locked out of playing my main until they get their “tool” fixed. Beyond frustrating.
Same issue have been stuck for over 12 hours and haven’t made any progress cant unstuck cant make a ticket cant do anything to progress myself
The only way I was able to get out was queueing for a follower dungeon and hearthing once I was in the instance. Im hesitant to do any further queueing though since thats how I got stuck in the first place
Update:
It is possible to submit a ticket by categorizing it as a general or website error instead of allowing them to redirect you to automated help page. Be persistent and look for places where you can contact blizz even when the website tries to prevent ticketing. I had a ticket auto-replied to and closed in about 12 hours and immediately created a second with my concern over an automated response in the first line. I played my alts for a couple days, and then I was rewarded with a human response.
I got a GM response to 2nd ticket that resolved my issue by porting me manually. The ticket took about 2 days to be answered. I hope the tool gets fixed or your tickets answered soon. In the meantime, at least most of the progress a main can get is also obtainable on an alt. Only personal gear and delve keys are currently single-character progressable. All meta achieves, reputations, and questlines are fairly open to whoever you’re playing on.
