Stuck at Loading Screen

When I go to load a character, the loading screen completes then stays frozen. Mouse works and I can shut it down using Task Manager. Did all the regular things, like reset UI, etc.

Happening to me too. Every character gets stuck, not just one in particular.

same here. game locked up when i tried to make an auction, now i can’t log in, as it tells me “A Character With That Name Already Exists.” i tried deleting Cache/Interface/WTF folders…now its frozen on the loading screen on all my characters.

methinks they forgot to feed the hamsters…again. ._.

It’s happening for everyone. I can’t log in either. This is probably related to the notice they posted in the Battle.net client and in the WoW Client. Apparently some really smart individuals at Blizzard decided that the best time to schedule a six hour infrastructure maintenance window (1PM-7PM PDT) is right in the middle of primetime.

Same here.

Same issue here. I’ve tried logging into game on several characters. The loading bar fills to about 80% and then freezes. Then I get the you’ve been disconnected screen.

same problem here. started after my game was having trouble saving ui/addon settings on a character. after enough relogs trying to fix that, it’s now not even letting me past the loading screen.

+1 here, and getting the name already exists on a lvl60 character.

I was just lagging badly then I took a Flight in Outland to do some farming and the bat just hovered over the destination instead of dismounting me.

Now cannot even load up (screen) when I try to enter world.
Guess I will check back later in an hour or so if I decide to play.

IDK if my issue is caused by the same thing but when I go to log into my main it says there is already a character with that name that exist.

They are currently performing infra maintenance so it is expected

Ah ha!! That makes sense as to the reason for this issue, but like you said, makes NO SENSE to do it right now during prime playtime.
