Getting out dpsed by miles. Is the demo the go to right now?
Refer to the other affliction dungeon thread. It’s at about 50% of Demo, but I personally believe if history repeats itself, there will be some very interesting interactions for affliction with a tipping scale, that will put it at the top in m+
Affliction requires a tank that understands it. If your tank doesn’t and consistently pulls 3-5 mobs and stops then demo is going to beat you most of the time. Good tanks who understand affliction pull way more.

The thing about Affliction is that it requires a lot of build-up time which you may not have a lot of in Mythic+ versus lets say raids.
You would want to DoT each mob as much as you can to spam malefic rapture, but by the time you have the DoTs stacked (if even possible) the mobs were already cleaved down.
The only way this could be resolved easily would be if there was a soul swap AoE variant that applies your 3 major DoTs on all targets in an AoE for you to instantly start spamming malefic rapture. Or if there was an ability like that of DKs that once you have your DoTs stacked on the targets, you can then spread them to nearby enemies. Maybe even having both as an option to rotate cooldowns.
Destruction and Demonology require less build-up time than Affliction to get the AoE damage going for sure and I think they both have a better time with up-keep as well, especially with a destruction rain of fire build, if you are looking for high AoE output.

Yes, Demo. I was in the same bucket. Then went Demo. Check my spec, and double your DPS.
It’s not in an actual real scenario. m0’s are a terrible metric to base things off.

What exactly would you propose then, considering M0’s are the highest content right now? I swear some people just talk to talk. But, please, enlighten me.
Why are you basing an entire specs viability in content that becomes completely irrelevant in 6 days to begin with?

Ok genius, then what EXACTLY should one be comparing, or using against a baseline right now? The TOP content, right?! At this exact moment, M0’s are it. There is nothing above it. We are talking about RIGHT NOW…ffs. If you are saying that M0 is not the top content right now, then you’re straight up trolling.

Ridiculous. Okay the spec is dead because things are dying so fast in content that quite literally doesn’t matter in 6 more days.
Why do you prefer inquisitors gaze over the other one that does aoe for dungeons? Just a question because if I can go Inquisitors over another spell I have to press I will but I feel like inquisitors doesn’t do as much dmg as the other.

Personally, because it’s passive DPS. Just like you prefer, less for me to click. Less chance for me to miss out on an important click that actually matters. Heck, half the time I forget to even enable the Eye of Inquisitor…

soulkeeper does lacklustre damage and the cast time could be better spent on dogs or hands for more implosions
