Im just curious to know what is the strongest spell/skill in terms of raw power. Im not looking for the most dps eficient. But what is the spell in the game that can do the highest damage in classic from a single use.

Given the instakill of a party member, on raw damage yes. On damaging to the enemy, probably Pyroblast against a single target and Hellfire against AOE.

Couldn’t an ignite tick be just ridiculously large if the stars aligned and allowed it to climb? Assumed chance for this being .0000000000001%.
The highest amount of damage you can get in a single cast is probably Hellfire.
Both single target and AoE. It does 3120 baseline damage.
Pyroblast is ~900 and Soul Fire is ~800.

Still counts as a single cast, even if it’s channeled.
That said, I’m 99% sure I know what the OP is asking and it’s not that. The answer is pyroblast.

That’s not a single spell though, that’s a sustained DPS practice.
There’s a reason why PoM+Pyro is a spec of its own.
Yeah i was not clear in my topic. I enjoy seen larger numbers from a spell. So i was wondering what spell could have the potential to hit high numbers on screen.
What? Hellfire will do 213 * 15 damage (for a total of 3,195) single target (or otherwise) if you let it channel for the full 15 seconds. Technically, you only cast it once, and therefore it’s the highest damage “per cast” spell in the game. But only technically.
