I was leveling a alt and playing the cata version of Arathi Highlands (great zone imho, very classic feel) and stromgarde even in its ruined state is so cozy, it’s all very dense and claustrophobic but in a good way, but then come BFA everything is like, waaaay open, it just feels very sparse and desolate, I suppose it could be down to it being so recently rebuilt and being more of a military base than city by that point in the story but I’m kinda just 90% sure blizz got lazy when they made it.
Seriously I encourage everyone to go and look at the old stromgarde, it’s such a cozy and unique city. There’s also a video of it “rebuilt” from years and years ago before BFA and I think it’s got a lot more character than the current version.
Maybe it needs a makeover. Since the next expansion is adding Arathor building assets and all that fluff, it might be worth asking Blizzard to update that city.

Stromgarde in BfA is not a city, it’s a glorified WoD Garrison meant to serve as counterpart to Ar’gorok.
I still cringe whenever I think about the Horde somehow asspulling an entire fortress right from Stromgarde’s nose. I am so happy that the Alliance won the Battle of Stromgarde and razed Ar’gorok though. 
I mean, Stromgarde doesn’t have any unique asset. It’s all copy-pasted from the Garrison. The Trollbane don’t have a royal palace, they have a Garrison town hall. So lazy. Pretty sure the only unique asset is the Altar of Kings with the portal to Boralus.

When did this happen? Cause in cata a large portion is still occupied by Stromgarde militants afaik, and if it’s not in Cata it’s definitely that way in Vanilla.
I just really hope they take inspiration from the old version and keep it tight and highly metropolitan.
In BfA? You had an entire fortress called “Ar’gorok” pop up right in front of Stromgarde which shouldn’t logically be possible after the Alliance ousted the Horde from Lordaeron.
Of course, all of this is in the past, since Ar’gorok was razed and the Alliance dominated the Arathi Highlands with Stromgarde victorious (all Canon lore). 
That sounds interesting—does anyone know where I can find this?
They should, from what I saw of the Arathi city in TWW, the screenshots, that’s the way they seem to like it.
