While on this quest I noticed once I kill the first demon the other demons I kill are not counting, I have tried reloading the UI, abandoning the quest and picking up again and doing a full reset on the UI. None of these have worked.
I just encountered this bug myself while trying to get the class mount for my Warlock toon.
The demon slain counter just stays at 1, never increasing.
And abandoning&retaking the quest or exiting and logging back in again won’t help.

Did this on my other character yesterday and it was quick and easy.
Today on my Druid and im now also getting the same error.

Stuck on 1/100. Relogged - didnt fix the issue.

Dropped quest and relogged - also didnt fix.

Tried again, Dropped quest, relogged, exited battlenet and restarted PC - still
stuck. -
Deleted cache, WTF and interface (no addons) with quest dropped and game
restarted - still didnt fix the issue. -
Checked wowhead and this forum - no fixes but others are having the same
issue. -
Raised a ticket and copy pasted the above in the hope I dont get the ususal
cookie-cutter response.
Ill keep you posted. Suggest you also raise a ticket and paste the above.
Update: the counter is broken but the demons do add up so just farm a spot and the quest will complete.

This same issue is happening to me for the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy portion of the Broken Shore questline. I was up to 6/8 World Quests completed when I logged out yesterday. When I logged back in today ot was showing only 1/8. Reset UI. Abandoned quest and reaccepted. Did two fresh World Quests and only one registered. Just want my mount…

I’ve been having this same issue! I opened a ticket earlier today and got the standard copy-paste response to abandon the quest, check Wowhead, or report it as a bug. Really frustrating.

Same here. Druid, Strike Them Down. Not counting after 1. Abandon/ui reset/disabling all addons, reset of system. Nothing.

I’ve completed the quest by killing 100 demons anyway.
The counter stays at 1/100 until you’ve finished the quest.

Confirmed. Quick kill of 100 and the quest does complete.

Yes can confirm the quest counter is broken but you can complete with 100 kills.
Can also confirm the counter does not work, but if you kill 100 it will say you’ve completed the quest.
They should still fix it though, blindly killing 100 mobs is annoying and this is the LAST PART of a VERY LONG chain to get class hall Mounts and stuff, so this shouldn’t be happening.

Same here, counter was stuck on 1/100, but just kept killing demons while counting out loud, quest completed once I reached 100
Same issue on this quest and on intolerable infestation in the same quest line. Both get stuck at 1/100 and 1/50 respectively.
Same issue with quest “Stabilizing Suramar”, stuck at 1/10
