Blizzard has made a topic in the forums explaining how they are pushing the final stress test date back, but they are still planning on launching Classic on the 27th (or 26th for those in Europe, etc.).

WoW Classic Stress Test Date

Hello. We’re hard at work preparing for the launch of WoW Classic, and we’ve reached the conclusion that we’re not quite yet ready to do our Global Stress Test (previously scheduled for next week). While we’re still on track to launch WoW Classic on August 27, we need a bit more time before this final pre-launch worldwide test. We’ll have a more definite date Soon™ and we’ll post it here as soon as we do. Thanks for your patience!

You have that backwards. 26th in the Americas. 27th in Europe.

This probably won’t happen til after world first is done, probably the week after Method or Limit kills the queen. They won’t interrupt the free exposure there getting from the event, classic “testing” is just a PR stunt at this point. So probably the week of the 4th-10th
