Strength food requires 10 hot honeycomb

While leveling cooking up and I get to the food that I will likely be using in progression- IE the strength/stamina food and see that it requires 10 hot honeycomb. Hot honeycomb is a rare drop from mobs that are difficult to farm as most of them are elites.

So instead of following a recipe I would actually use to level my cooking, I leveled using the stamina/int food. Why would I level my cooking with a recipe that I will never use? Because all the non meat ingredients are from the vendor 20 feet from the cooking trainer.

Surely this cannot be intentional. Same tier of food, same amount of stats, same type and amount of meat, and yet one uses vendor ingredients and the other requires 10 rare drops?

Please tell me this is a mistake or a typo. I feel like one hot honeycomb would be too much for a basic personal food much less 10.

You can get more from the meat. Cinderbee Belly I thinkit is. Now is a good time to stock up because the weekly involves killing bees for Speciall Assignment quest,

On my server the hot honeycomb goes for about 40 gold each. The cinderbee belly goes for about 4 gold. Breaking them down takes 5 at a time and the drop rate from it is less than 50%.

A person might get lucky or they might not. Either way its looking over 400 gold per craft for personal food.

It’s ok, no one wants to use the stam food anyway.

Crafting reagents have region-wide pricing.

…That said, seems a little unusual that there’s such a wide disparity between the different foods in terms of material requirements.
