Streaming is a WoW exploit

Recently layering was fixed and people were punished for exploiting it. Asmongold has made some videos where he slams the people that took advantage of layering. Its interesting to me though because Asmongold exploits players all the time when he takes gold from them and ninjas items in his guild raids…yet he’s somehow a beacon of morality when it comes to other peoples activities in the game…lol

We get it, you don’t like him and think people waste time watching him.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone refer to Asmongold as a beacon of morality.

I mean, in his defense, he also cancels a lottttt of trades when the player is obviously giving him way too much gold / rare items. He doesn’t just take, take, take.

Also, the Ozzy ninja was staged.

People literally line up to give him gold and every competent guild in the world gears up their maintank first, regardless of how unlikable they are. If he wasn’t giving himself everything first I would honestly question his leadership, because that’s exactly what he (and any self respecting guild) should be doing.

You just sound salty

The point is…streamers exploit the game every day…just by being streamers. Just my opinion.

and my opinion is that the only people who care what streamers do are fans of the streamer or those just jealous of the attention they get.

So…if my friend gives me 900g for my epic mount, that is an exploit?

By talking about him you indirectly promote him

There is no such thing as bad publicity

Who’s your friend? Do they want more friends?

Gullibility is not a game system.

No…he’s your friend…not a stranger sucking up to you because he thinks you are a celebrity.

What is the difference?

No…but peoples gullibility can be exploited…streamers prove that every day.

Assmangold, Assmangold, Assmangold … why do people keep posting about this jackass and complain about him and his groupies, giving him/them the attention they’re seeking?

That word you keep using, it doesn’t mean what you think it means.

An exploit is taking advantage of a bug or in game systems, in a way that they weren’t intended, to gain an advantage. Other players voluntarily giving gold and items is in no way, shape or form even close to an exploit. At most it could be considered social engineering, but it’s not even that I don’t think, it’s more like celebrity worship, something that has been around for as long as public figures have existed. There’s always going to be those obsessive types who latch onto famous people for their 2 seconds in the limelight.

Yeah… no one that should be taken seriously has ever said that not ironically.

I have a problem with your first sentence. Who are the people that have been punished? I have guilds full of people who used mid-instance layering to XP faster and get loot on my server. Not seeing anyone having action taken against them from blizz.

One reddit thread with an imgur pic publicized by some streamer blizzard asset doesn’t mean blizz has done anything.

That’s not a Blizzard issue or exploit. Should they police used car salespeople too?
