Streaming error WOW51900322

Every time my wife tries to enter the Obsidian Citadel to do “The Courage of One’s Convictions” quest she gets DC’d with the above error. She can log into ANY other character with no issue, but that one.

I can log her on, on my PC move her away from the area and she’s fine again. As soon as she tries to progress the main storyline. WOW51900322

That you can log into the character normally indicates a local issue with the client on your wife’s PC. It could be a number of things with the system. Try the following and see if it helps:

Typically Windows is kept up to date automatically but there are many occasions where you may need to manually run Windows Update. In those cases you can go into Windows Update under settings or control panel and check for updates. If you are unable to check through Windows update, check out the FAQ here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12373/windows-update-faq

We want to make sure we have all driver updates as well. GPU, Network, Audio, Motherboard/system. All are important. Check with your system maker for updates unless I include specific links below, then get your drivers from those links.

Let’s manually clear the Battlenet Desktop Application and all supporting data from the system. This will not remove existing game clients.

  1. Open file explorer/file manager (Right Click Windows Start)
  2. Navigate to the folder where the desktop application would normally be installed. Delete that folder if it exists (usually program files x86)
  3. Type the following into the address bar (not the search bar): %APPDATA% and press enter.
  4. Delete the Bnet and blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with %PROGRAMDATA% %LOCALAPPDATA% and %TEMP%
  6. Empty the recycle bin.
  7. Now reinstall the app to the C: Drive.

If you have any addon managers installed. They are fine programs but they have the tendency to prevent our troubleshooting steps from working. Please uninstall them and leave them off your system until we have solved the problem.

Once that is confirmed, we need to delete the temporary game files to attempt to eliminate any corrupt data that might be affecting the client or characters. Your game will rebuild them when you next login but this will remove all installed addons. Please do not reinstall any addons until we know the issue is resolved: https://battle.net/support/article/7549

Let’s reset the in game user options:

  1. Click the blue bnet icon on the bnet app.
  2. Choose settings, then game settings.
  3. Click the reset in game user options button under the correct game listing.
  4. Confirm the changes and close the window.

We will want to run the repair tool on the game client: https://battle.net/support/article/7655

Try running your system in selective startup mode: https://battle.net/support/article/200483

Create a new administrator account: https://battle.net/support/article/34550

Once the account is created, shut down the computer, wait 60 seconds, restart, log into the new profile and try the app/client.

@Traedena did you figure this out? My warrior is stuck…

EDIT: For anyone who is experiencing this in the future doing this fixed it for me: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/32275.
