Streaming error in Bastion only

so i have a weird problem on one of my hunters, i can go anywhere in the world and have no problem but as soon as i go in Bastion on him, i start getting streaming errors and dc every time, its the second time i use the unstuck feature on him so i can play him.

I went into Bastion on other toons I have to see if I would have the same problem and thats the case, I only get the streaming errors in that zone, I’m fine with all the others, problem started last week.

So i tried to do a scan and repair, at around 50%, it bugs and stopped, first it told me game was broken and needed to be repaired, then i redid the scan and repair, bugged again around 50% and i was able to get in the game on my toons, except the ones stuck in bastion

Hey there Malberode,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us with those details! Repeated instances of a specific character getting stuck is most commonly caused by corrupted local game data or an interfering addon. Try resetting your User Interface, and then try the scan & repair again.

Note: This process will return your game client to the default interface in order to rebuild core game files. If you wish to keep any addons you play with, I recommend moving the ‘Interface’ folder to your desktop temporarily (the Interface folder from Step 6). Once you have completed the UI reset, you can then go in and move your addons over to the new ‘Interface’ folder one at a time to see if it was causing the issue.

If the issue persists, antivirus or firewall software could be a factor here if the software is out-of-date or configured to mistakenly identify certain network traffic as a security threat. Updating or temporarily uninstalling your security software can help resolve this.

Note: Some security programs may be difficult to uninstall. ESET maintains a comprehensive list of common antivirus uninstallation tools on their website.

If you don’t have antivirus or firewall software installed – or if updating/uninstalling it doesn’t fix the problem – re-installing the game would be the next best option to determine whether an underlying cause is isolated to the local game files.

Hopefully this information has provided further insight into the situation and helps get things fixed up so you can get back to playing as normal! Let us know if you have any questions going forward.

i tried all the options, even when moving add ons and resetting the user interface did nothing to solve the problem i encounter, so i guess i will have to re install the game

i don’t know if my problem came from my wow files or the bnet launcher, when i tried to uninsall the game trough bnet launcher, it was telling me the game was uninstalled but i still had the files up and game was going in endless scans and try to install a patch and i was not able to install the game, so i tried the following:

  • manually deleting all my wow files on computer but it was failing because it said some ressources was used by another program, wich was bnet launcher, so i had to completly remove the bnet launcher from my computer, successfully manually deleting my wow files

then redownload the bnet launcher app and did a new install of the game trough it and now i can do stuff in bastion without getting the streaming error
