They stream whatever latest stuff is.
8.2 has just been released, so they stream it.
If next week 8.2 releases next piece of time gated stuff, they’ll be streaming it as well. If not, they’ll be streaming Classic because its more interesting to see to people without beta access than BfA.
If cap on beta will be increased to 60, BfA will be forgotten for few weeks again.

Streamers do whatever get views. Bashing the new patch accomplishes that just fine.

Not all of us have given up on it. Some of us have been attempting ZF and dying horribly while enjoying the chance to try.
WoW was popular before streaming was popular, WoW will be popular regardless of whether or not people are streaming it to less than 100k people.

Perhaps Classic won’t be the break out hit of 2019 and subs won’t break a million.

the only streamer i know of who isn’t 40 on the beta is kevinjordan
hes yet to hit 30, and he doesn’t come across other people in the world very often because most of them aren’t logged on
but the devs could use time to fix the bugs that were already reported, so

The biggest complaint I’m seeing among streamers is that there’s not enough people in the beta, I saw both Asmongold and Nixxiom saying that in their videos lately.
Activision-Blizzard really wants to sell more lottery tickets before letting people in… where not going to see the full force of Classic until its released.

Yep not enough people donating to these poor, loving streamers. We should all collectively donate our next paycheck, maybe they will even say our name on stream!

Maybe this just fits in with Blizzards agenda of Retail patch-> Classic Phase -> Retail Patch. Beta testing that player patch rotation.

Although you are definitely right, this isn’t just a streamer thing. No one is playing the beta right now. It’s a ghost town. Combination of new live patch and being locked at 40 with nothing to do has squeezed the juice out of beta.

The server is down for all beta testers that im aware of. I think its to populate and hype the patch.
I hear the servers are down, so that could be a problem for them.
I have the beta and I stopped playing once the cap was raised to 40… why for any reason would I want to level to 40 on a beta? I get the whole bug thing but no… absolutely not… I’d sooner roll on a private server and level to 60 before I’d level to 40 on a beta.
I have several days played on the beta… so it’s not like I haven’t been investing time and testing the game… I just have no interest in leveling to 40
They aren’t down, and by “right now” I mean the last couple days not this moment in time in particular 
I hate to break this to you, but you can’t level to 60 without first leveling to 40.
On a beta server… I have to stay at level 40… the most exciting part of getting to level 40 is being out of the 30s and progressing through the rest of the game. Right now the only reason to play is to twink out.
Kinda get the impression that most people who want BETA are not there because they want to test anything…
So the artificial level cap and the promise of a character wipe in a couple months is sorta a turn off for a lot of people.
Considering the time it takes to get to 60, the investment of time that generates an attachment to the character and all that…
Most people are not willing to put in that sort of effort just for a temporary character; I feel this same way about private servers that are here to day and gone tomorrow.
It’s why I have no desire to play private servers, and why I also don’t care to level on BETA.
I would play BETA if there were tools to allow me to test the game in a very technical way, but I have no desire to “play” BETA…
