Streamers are the reason for Cross Realm BGs

In vanilla without cross realm BGs, they are not up 24/7.
In world you can’t stream without getting sniped.
Thank Classic Cast/Streamersfor influencing Blizzard and ruining the BG structure.

One more reason to not to like streamers. Looks like sleep and downtime are out. Mindless pugs are in.

Cross realm bgs were put into vanilla to fix issues with the queuing system. I remember 45+ minute ques and it was not fun. Some realms had a balance but more did not. Having lived the bgs before cross realms, yeah I knew the good horde players by name, but I only got to see them at most a couple times a day. They were part of vanilla and made life on the unbalanced servers a little better.

Still remember the 50 minute wait time to get completely crushed by a guild premade in WSG. Was brutal.

The root of your problem was either unbalanced servers or underpopulated servers. Both of which can be remedied by server mergers. Another fix to server faction unbalance is to just not allow any new characters of that faction to be created (unless its an alt).

I thought cross-realm BG’s were absolutely great when they first came out. But I think as time progressed, it just made the server’s PvP community lack cohesion and die out.

Seemed like that from the start. I stopped solo queueing for anything except AV after the first couple days of CRBG just because it was that awful being thrown in with people from other realms.

The problem with the merging of servers was that at that time I was ally on a PVE realm. Finding a PVE realm with more horde than ally was not likely in vanilla. Eventually I saw the error in this and rolled this horde pally on a PVP realm in BC.
