Streamer wants to know a few things

Hi everyone it’s been a bit since I’ve posted in these forums the nostalgia is already flowing through my blood LOL. Anyways I’m a streamer who has played WoW a lot off and on throughout the last decade or so and a few years around the time of shadowlands or TBC classic(cant remember the time period exactly) i stopped completely for the first time really in over a year. I’ve been playing mostly FPS games such as Valorant, Apex, etc because i usually tend to lean towards fps when there isnt an MMO in a current state to grind(yes i’ve played FF14 great game lol diff vibe) Here lately i’ve caught myself in a drought playing the same games over and over and I’m not having fun due to losing or immersion or anything like that but I miss the MMO social atmosphere and just having a goal all day and the amazing feeling later on when I finally achieve the goal. Basically I’ve came here today to ask 2 questions and I don’t mean to offend anyone by asking these at all.

  1. is it worth it to come back to WoW? 2. If it is which one? Classic for WOTLK or Retail for Dragonflight? ty for reading <3 - myerhq
  1. Most people who answer questions here in the new player forum love the game. The regular posters will generally always say that it’s worth coming back to.

  2. Completely up to you. WotLK will release first in September, and DF by December 31st at the latest. Plenty of opportunity to play both. It’s what I plan on doing, though I’m not a streamer so you may have different priorities than I do.

At the end of the day, with WoW (in either flavor), any returning player knows what the game is and what they’re getting into. Whether it’s worth your time is up to you and your goals. That’s not something I can answer for you.

My best advice is roll a new character and take it to 20 in the newest content you can, see how you like things as a free character. If you still want to keep going subscribe for a month and see where it takes you, but don’t buy any xpacs yet. If you still like it you’re in a better spot to decide, if not, hey you gave it a shot :grinning:
