I’m assuming “make merc more apparent” means the option to enable it, yes? I voted for that.
I needed to vote for 2 of these, but only could do one.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind mixing factions with no race swaps.
The faction war has been stale for a while IMO, and the only thing keeping it going is Blizz butchering lore and making every other Warchief a cartoonish villain.
I’d like merc mode built into the UI instead of being hidden at an NPC, so I went with more apparent merc mode.
It’d also be nice if there was a merc NPC somewhere that let you customize your merc-self. Being able to pick your appearance and race when you’re a merc would be neat.
I honestly didn’t really understand what was meant by making merc mode more apparent so I voted for mixed with races changing per game or wtvr it was…I thought yall wanted to make mercs easier to see in BGs. It sounds more ridiculous now than it did initially.
This is the only game that I played since 2007 and if 3 or 4 gets apply I will go back to the Xbox. Y’all think I may be joking, but I have not played any other game, but this one since 2007. I play this game for PVP that it and killing hordes is why I pvp that it when they take that away I’m done.
I wouldn’t worry too much, it’s not really in Blizzard’s financial interest to spend effort on the queue system for casual PvP. Their core investor focus is 3v3 and Mythic+, both pre-determined queues, centered around class design balance. Let’s be honest they haven’t even fixed the transmog bug that’s existed since BfA launch for mercenaries, not to mention posts going back as far as WoD asking for this UI option. Won’t even get into all the other vehicle related bugs and similar issues that plague epics since Dec 18. Blizzard’s core interest for casual PvP is content (think artwork/modeling, not programming), i.e. re-hashing old BGs.
Yea but people are claiming less are playing because of balance. How do you get better balance? By mixing players so you have more to choose from. They aren’t likely to do this, though.
I think this will one of the biggest polls I’ve done, I think it will get noticed. I did not wanna do it, that’s how well I think is going to go over, but I try to play fair. I hope there’s another way 'cause I hate to give up the game I love.

This has been asked for, for like 8 years at least. Don’t even worry about it. Plus no offense but these polls do nothing in the long run. They’re fun, but nothing will come of it.

No offense, but I think there will never be enough votes (sample size) to make blizzard care about this specific strawpoll.
JMO, the merc system was a terrible band aid solution to the blizzard design-induced queue problem; but now that it’s here, its supporters (mostly on horde side) will rage if it’s taken away.

Now will they care enough to do it? Who knows.
If Blizzard merges factions, they’ve thrown in the towel on ever having any semblance of faction balance or the game is pretty much dead.
Free horde to alliance transfers would also be a good way to see if alliance really do have better PvP racials. Free better PvP racials! Come get yours!
So, the decision on whether to continue a hobby you’ve enjoyed for the past 12 years is dependent on how a few dozen internet strangers vote.
