Howdy,
Currently the Straw Hat (Leather) transmog appearance isn’t unlockable for the Monk Class. You get the Straw Hat from Gina Mudclaw (bought) from getting max reputation with Old Hillpaw. (This is not to be confused with the Cloth Version of the hat that Old Hillpaw sends you or the Cloth Version that can be bought from Gina Mudclaw).
I submitted a ticket for this and the GM recommended I submit a bug report to get this fixed hence the documentation below from the previous ticket interaction (that hopefully will be some help to y’all).
Ticket Documentation:
GM - “First up, it’s worth disabling any addons you’ve got running. Some of them can interfere with how transmog works behind the scenes.”
I have done this and the issue still persists.
GM - “Next, mouse over the item you’re trying to use. If it says “This item cannot be transmogrified,” then unfortunately it’s just not eligible some items are excluded by design.”
It says “You haven’t collected this appearance yet.”
GM - “Check that your character is actually able to use the selected appearance. Certain looks come with requirements like class, race, or past achievements.”
Yes I am able to use the selected appearance.
GM - “If you’re rocking any buffs that apply costumes (like festival disguises or quest visuals), remove those first they override transmogs.”
I do not have any buffs that apply costumes.
GM - “Make sure your gear matches the armor class for your character. For example, a mage won’t be able to transmog plate gear appearances.”
It is leather for my class as a Monk (Brewmaster), Race: Pandaren.
GM - “If you’re using a saved transmog set, try applying each piece individually. It’ll help narrow down if one item in the set is causing the hiccup.”
I am not using a saved transmog set.
GM - “If you’ve transmogged your weapon to an artifact appearance, try switching it to something non-artifact first. Then adjust the other items afterward.”
I have not transmogged my weapon to an artifact appearance.
GM - “And if you’ve checked all of that and still no luck, a full UI reset is your best bet it refreshes everything cleanly and tends to clear up persistent issues.”
I have done a full UI reset and the issue persists.
This item should be transmogrifiable but is not appearing or unlocking for the appearances tab to be utilized. For reference this is the Straw Hat bought from Gina Mudclaw for the Leather Version, which should unlock the transmog appearance but does not. (After gaining max rep with Old Hillpaw, this is not to be confused with the Cloth Version Old Hillpaw sends you via mail, or the Cloth Version that can also be bought from Gina Mudclaw after the reputation is maxed).
