I’ve searched up and down each time I’m in this dungeon and haven’t found it yet. I’ve checked the places that xu fu listed and its not there. I’m guessing the odds of it spawning are really low.
Has anyone been able to consistently find it?
Edit: I look for interactable things (which normally show up as “glowy” and move my mouse over the area to see if turns to an interact pointer. Is there anything different I should be doing like randomly click stuff even if it looks non-interactable?
I haven’t tried looking for the letter in a while, but I think it’s just random. RNG if it spawns and where it spawns. I remember resetting the dungeon a few times to get it to pop up.
I don’t think the letter has a glow, even when hovering over it. Could be wrong though. IMO just pay close attention to your cursor. If I remember correctly, it’ll turn into a cogwheel, indicating you can interact with the object. A name/tooltip will pop up when you hover over the letter too. GL!
I second what Quintessence has said. Most people just look for the spawns right at the beginning, no battles needed. If it’s not there, exit, re-enter, and look again until it spawns. It doesn’t glow on its own, and I don’t think it does when you hover over it, either.

I already did the weekly, do I need to wait until next week to try that or can I farm the letter to fight just that one guy?

I was just going to say yes, but I need ten characters, so here.
I don’t know how many times I ran it, but I’d already acquired all the pets from the vendor. The other rare, spawned my first time through on the round when you could still heal your pets so it was really getting frustrating not finding the letter.
Not sure if I just wasn’t looking hard enough and missed it or was just unlucky. But I finally loaded all the spawns in to Tom Tom and used that and found it that week. Even then I almost missed it because it doesn’t glow and the gear wheel disappeared very quickly. Hopefully you’ll find it next time.
The letter spawned for me today on what was my third run overall + one half run that was never finished. It did not glow at all and from distance the cursor didn’t change but when I was closer it changed to a cogwheel when hovering over it.
I know it spawns in 4 or so places, this one was behind a box in the section where you fight the ongoing army of undead rats.
The letter doesn’t glow, I don’t even remember if it had a cogwheel to indicate you can interact with it tbh. There’s a very dull way to find it: Enter scenario, check all spawn points for phase 1-4. If it isn’t there, leave, and queue again. Repeat until you find the letter. Only after you find it should you start doing the pet dungeon. It sucks for sure, but it also guarantees you get it.
Slightly late , but Ive been doing this for so long and no letter. Finally did the *reset * thing and it spawned for me after multiple resets. It does have a cog on it …but you have to be closer to get it to show. Wish i would have thought about the resetting thing earlier …had all the pets from there for a while lol.
