Strath Scarlet or Live?

Title. In light of the DM abbreviation thread, I thought I’d make another.

I played Alliance in vanilla, and on our server we differentiated Stratholme as Strat Scarlet and Strat Baron.

It wasn’t until I played a Horde alt that I saw people refer to it as Live and Dead.

Strat live and strat ud. Why do people say strath? It’s always been strat to me. Crazy how different servers develop differently.

LOL. Had no clue. I was Horde and it was always Live or Dead as far as I knew. This is first time I’m hearing of different names. Was on Eldre Thalas in vanilla too.

Strat Live, Strat UD.

Live and Dead.

In my experience (which apparently was rare) most people just wanted to do the whole thing

I remember it being known as live or UD on alliance spirestone in vanilla.

Live or dead, sounds so much better then Scarlet or Dead honestly.

Anecdotal, but on Magtheridon US Horde it was called Scarlet Strath and just Strath.

I guess it was just assumed it was UD /Baron side if you just said Strath, and you had to specify you wanted the Living side.

Interesting server… It’s Strat or Strat Live.

This.

:cocktail:

Every server I’ve played on recently uses live/UD, not a citation for how things were in retail vanilla though.

I’d never heard Strat Scarlet. I hear Scarlet and think Monastery.

On Silver Hand Alliance, we usually called it “Baron” or “Live Strath”

Sometimes live was called an orb run, too. Righteous orbs were awesome.

Now you’re just making stuff up…

I had a friend that called it “Strathelhome”

I mean, he was like 12 at the time but yeah.

Back when I played on alliance Malygos server it was strat live/dead.
