Strange memory error

First time getting this:

“The application experienced an unexpected error”
“Could not read memory address 0x00000000”

(I may have gotten them number of zeros wrong, but it was all zeroes)

Windows seems to think this code will be meaningful to the blizzard devs:

2D5C996D-7258-4937-8506-970EBB85E56F

EDIT:

On attempting to do the same action, have my warlock use the Legion class order hall teleporter in the Dalaran underbelly, this:

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!

Program: F:\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe
ProcessIS: 4952
ThreadID: 2880
Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION

The instruction as “0x00007ff792670313” referenced memory at “0x0000000000000258”.
The memory could not be “read”.

EDIT 2:

This problem only affects my warlocks trying to port into the Legion call order hall. I have no similar problems with any other class of character. I finally managed to get one warlock stuck in a memory fail loop (I assume he was standing right on top of the teleporter when the game crashed) and needed to resort to the online character stuck tool to remedy that self-made problem.

Same thing here. Issue just started today. I have been to class hall several times before today. Scan and repair scans, then asks for permission but never indicates if it is actually doing anything about it. I already used my online move so probably tomorrow before I try again. I may try a reinstall but really don’t want my whole game down that long.

I have to guess most recent patch botched something up. Good luck to you. Please update if you find a way to resolve it!

I went so far as to do a repair of the WoW install, which did not inform me if anything was wrong, nor did it fix anything.

Then I tried deleting and resetting a new Windows paging file (cache) in case something or maybe a sector in that had gotten corrupted. That failed to improve the matter.

Like you, Ryona, I am loathe to do a complete reinstall, especially with the weather we’re having at the moment. Here, the risk of the electricity going out at any minute is a fairly high and if it goes out, will likely be out for at least a couple of days. So, yeah, not looking forward to a long download under those circumstances.

Also, I am not really in the mood to try teleporting my warlock into the class order hall to test if it is still broken when it is most probably the latest hotfix that is at issue.

The problem affects a lot more classes. Any class hall quest line that takes you through a portal crashes the game. Dreadscar rift and Niskera portals are all broken and crash the game.

Ah, I haven’t played my Demon Hunter in so long that I had actually forgotten that I had one. I gave that it try on him and sure as Shinola isn’t sandwich spread, the game crashed. I don’t play Priest or Paladin, but I am guessing they suffer the same problem.

Yes, they do. Seen it on the forums since Tuesday. Good thing Class Armor Sets aren’t on my todo list right now lol.

Response to my ticket directed me to this thread where the main circus for this issue is.
