Strange Issue with Videre Elixir/Evoroot Quest

So, I’m following a questing guide, and I’ve had family over during the holiday, so it happens that I’ve spent a lot of hours grinding somewhat mindlessly in the early 50’s.

I distinctly remember doing the part of the quest where you get Evoroot from the little temple-looking room.

Several days later, I’m in Winterspring and my quest guide sends me to Tanaris to do the “Meet at the Grave” portion of this quest line. But I don’t have videre elixir in my bags. I do, however, still have the evoroot.

I assumed at this point that I simply failed to turn the evoroot in…so I go back to the dwarf in Feralas, but he won’t speak to me. Donova in Winterspring has nothing for me, either.

I have no quest sending me to Tanaris.
I have no Videre Elixir in my bags (or in my bank).
The dwarf in Feralas who takes the evoroot and turns it into the elixir will not speak to me and has no quest for me.

I’m stumped. I have no idea how to get this back on track so I can finish the Linken chain. Any ideas?

I googled this before bringing it to the forum, but I couldn’t find anyone bringing up the same issue.

So the dwarf sells you some meat you can use to distract the demon where the elixir is held.

It’s a little square ruin north of where the dwarf is. You can also just jump over the back wall to get it.

If I recall, dwarf does not have a quest for your after collecting the everroot. I think it is an item has sell and you need the correct currency, the everroot.

Yeah, something happened after I got the evoroot. It never progressed beyond that.

Like I said, he will not speak to me. Not to give more bait. Not to take more evoroot and create more videre elixir.

I have destroyed the evoroot in my bag and will go pick another, hoping that will trigger his dialogue option again to trade it for videre elixirs
