Hi,
Me and a friend have been playing in a group, whenever we get a quest like Zandalar forever! or the Echo of Garrosh Hellscream that puts us in a story instance ( I am not sure what to call these I’ve been trying to google this on and off for days) it puts us in separate groups I tend to have no problem soloing these and she is a mage and it takes many tries sometimes.
Why can’t we join as the group?
Is it supposed to work like this?
Some quest related scenarios are just meant to be done solo or with a group of NPCs (such as the dungeon scenario at end of Exile’s Reach).
Is there some way to tell which ones?
Some of the bosses in these seem pretty unbalanced for some classes.
It will mostly be ones that are part of major quest lines - such as recruiting Allied Races, acquiring an Artifact weapon, campaign quests, Proving Grounds, etc.
Oh I can understand as someone with every class. It can be challenging at times for specific classes or specs.
The game does have specific group scenarios that became available in Mists of Pandaria. But now they are mostly just for fun, achievements, lore, etc.

Well thank you, I did eventually find another forum post about it also.
I wish it was clearer in the UI also, it says you are in an instance group and that you can leave the instances group.
If a blue is listening changing every place it says group when you or a party member are in one of these to say SOLO or SINGLE PLAYER would make this whole thing a lot more clear as to what is going on.
