Story is improving, but i feel characters are not interesting

In War Within, I realized it was very difficult to connect with any character in the story.
In K’aresh’s case, the feeling that the characters are generic became even stronger…
I can’t recognize an interesting ethereal that is connected in the story… maybe locus walker but he is connect to Alleria not us…

I miss characters that accompany you like Finn vibes, like “i got you bro…”
Imagine a funny ethereal that is always with you, some vibes like “I know I’m just an energy with bandages but I still can help you”
A character that save you multiple times… that are always there for you “no matter what happen i got you bro!!”
and then a villain kill him in cold blood in the final chapter… and make you go WTF moment… making you always remember him.

Why don’t we have anything like this?
It happened once in undermine,
But the character in question was not connected to our hero but to another NPC, so the impact was very low

I think the reason no single ethereal or broker stands out is because they paid so much attention trying to blend them both into a single culture that they neglected to make characters that stick out, so they all kind of come across as samey.

Coincidence the story started sucking when they exclusively started writing for the alliance in legion

i did all quests and all characters that i remember are venari and locus walker, all ethereals are like random nameless soldiers… its weird

And it’s not even on the stories themselves, the lack of variance in the character models is most of it.

Given the extensive diversity of harronir, I’m starting to think this patch was originally supposed to be the root lands and was scrapped when Metzen came back and put us onto the saga
