It happens sometimes.
Itās far safer here to be a liberal for sure. Just not in Ontario because for some reason ppl thought $1 beer was better than offsetting carbon with a tax. >.<
Our federal elections are next year and Iām hoping for new democrats to overtake Liberal as the new left majority. We will see what happens., anything to stop a conservative win. Pierre Poilievre is a idiot.
It isnāt funny butā¦ that made me laugh, for how screwed up it is, thatās like a plot point in a Simpsons or Family Guy episodeā¦ Beer now or a better futureā¦ blight me thatās just horrible.
Trust me we think itās just as comical, you should see our political memes.

Imagine if you biggest political discourse was a punative tax to offset carbon emissions. (But you get a green energy tax break every season soā¦ itās hardly as big of a deal as the media and onpoli make it seem like. I just got a green energy rebate this month of $250)
Thereās nothing good about Kamala.
She went to Westmount high school in Montreal, while her mother did breast cancer research.
Sheās smart, progressive and mentally capable of the job which is far more than be said about her predecessor. She stands with protesters on racial equality. Sheās far better than her opponent in any case.
, thatās great.
Rocks are better.
Regardless, remember when the closed mind speaks it hears only itself.
Anyways, I need to sleep.
Night Mithonic.
May your days be many, and filled with the happiness you need.
Nightsong.
I live in a red state, last election it was 2/3rd republican so before biden dropped out I was going to vote third party again for the 3rd time since I didnāt like either. Now I probably will vote for kamala. I suppose my state could swing blue since who knows with how unpredictable this election cycle has been, but I doubt it.
I do find it funny that both sides claim voting 3rd party is giving the vote to the other side.
At this point I just want US to have better health care, better way to get a job easy instead of being rejected online or just in general, high cost of money needs to slow down, and etc in the modern world. So whoever is President Iām just hoping for a good president that will lead us out of the great depression right now in 2024.
Hmm so folks at the Lore Forums anything else going on in the Entertainment as of late? I know that juno from Overwatch is coming next month in season 12 and heard more news about diablo 4ās next expansion, and of course the pre patch for wow.
The Acolyte is finished. The latest Episode of House of the Dragon says practically nothing with no advancement of the Plot as of yetā¦
Even the release of Character Stories and Events for the latest game(Higurashi When They Cry Mei) of the Visual Novel Franchise Iāve been following(Higurashi When They Cry) has slowed to a crawl!
Funny, I too was considering voting 3rd party again myself. Some days I wish I could move to Ireland though, America is in shambles and most people donāt seem to see it or care
Iāll be voting for Jill Stein most likely, I canāt vote for Trump, never did, never will. And thatās because both parties have failed us, many many times over the years, people just donāt want to admit because theyāre too entrenched on either side and donāt want to find the middle ground to pass legislation that helps everyone, not just their super rich corporate bosses.
Blue Maga is a cult just like the red one. Youāre fooling yourself if you think either are democratic.
I thought there were a couple important tidbits of info for later.
It felt like a very āset upā heavy episode. A few things that have been hanging in the background starting to coalesce.
I felt like the episode carried me to the doorway, but left opening the door for later. Which is fine. Not every episode can be a classic. Sometimes you have to lay out the background for the other episodes to hit harder.
Tbf the plot is everyone dies, so if they rush through that there wonāt be much story to tell, the slow pace is a welcome pace when so many of the main characters die.
I must say I do love that Alys Rivers is a quirky kitchen witch and not a dark seductress. Her filling the vacant role of someone reading Daemon for filth has been fun to watch.
The main problem is third parties donāt really do any work in building up groundlevel support, they want the big headshot of winning the presidency without actually proving their governance is good and their ideas work at the local/regional level.
Even if Republicans and Dems were actually the exact same thing, and I wasnāt afraid of what a 2nd Trump presidency would mean for my gay friends, Iād still be wary of voting Green. Because while I generally like most of what theyāre selling, they like to be everything to everyone and Iād hate if they decided that dismantling nuclear power was priority #1. Sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you donāt.
(the real answer is to unscrew our awful electoral process so itās not a disproportional 2 party system)
In actual wow news like half of my old friend group is coming back after an expansion and a half break and all 3 have complained about missing out on what looked like a good expansion in DF, so Iām lolling a bit.
I wish we had ranked voting.
Itās a better system overall. Better than what we have now. The thing I fear most is we all know trump is going to spend four years going after his political enemies and likely anyone who speaks out against him
Your entire electorial process needs an overhaul (ours too honesty) that College that allows the presidency can go to a candidate who lost the popular vote is an archaic system that only serves Republican interest. If you want to get out of this two party system you are currently stuck in then one of your elected governments actually has to tackle voter disenfranchisement. For third parties to be able to successfully campain with the chance to win they need money, they need constiuents.
My advice if you donāt want to vote blue but have to to sway a vote, but still want to support Jill Stein. Donate to her campaign but still vote blue. Thatās still serving the left. You donate money to a campaign and not vote for them, thatās how you build more options on the left. (Not everyone has money to donate, I get that but the best way to support more leftist candidates it not to vote but to donate money.)
Sometimes you have to vote in the best interest of the collective left even if that candidate isnāt who you personally choose, sometimes the left has to vote Liberal to keep conservatives out of power, thatās just how it is.
