So I got around to watching the first episode of S2 HOTD and I got to say it wasn’t as bad as I thought. They did the right thing by fading to black and letting us know through the queen about what happened to her kid

House of the Dragon has some really great characters, and some really awful ones.
I can’t get over Helana walking in to Alicent getting Crispy Creamed by her sworn protector lol.
Really not looking forward to losing Rhaenys, but that will probably be this season.

She’s so awesome. Her fate is soo sad in the books. All she wanted was to honor her dads wishes, but Alicent and her dad turned out to be a couple of manipulative snakes

I have a theory, and tbh it’s mostly a joke.
There’s a theory that the Iron Throne cuts people not fit to rule. It rejects Viserys, thats implied by his condition. The promo art of Aegon on the Iron Throne for Season 2 indicates that the Throne will reject him… What if the Throne also rejects Rhaenyra because RHAENYS WAS ROBBED!?
Really, if the show is favouring Rhaenyra as the heir because she’s the first born child regardless of gender, then technically, they’re all imposters because Rhaenys was the true heir of Jahaerys as the first born child of his first born child.

Isn’t Aegon also called Aegon the Deceiver or Aegon the Broken by the time the war ends? His reign was short lived regardless. And the blacks ultimately gain the throne eventually.
Which was a given anyway, Rhaenys and Daemons heirs kind of have to in order to set up the events for GoT to happen

Never read the books and only watched a few seasons of GoT…
That said, prequals are a pain in the behind to write because if you already know how it ends then you have to make sure to reach that point…
Unless, and it’s as big of a pain, you are smart about introducing unreliability to your native to give yourself the ability to recreate the shape if not the specific events as depicted or spoken of in history.

The Gods favored Rhaenyra though. That’s why she saw the white stag. But I remember in the books it implied she was rejected by the throne because it cut her.
I do think Rhaenys would have made a better ruler then Viserys.

100%. Viserys was not a good king, or father. He failed all his children, which failed the realm. Damn fool. Patty Constantine played him very well. Was a great performance.

On further works of George R.R. Martin: Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has come out. Behold Spoilers:
Turns out Miquella was the Cersei of his and Mogh’s relationship with Rahdan being the Jamie(yes that makes Mogh the Lancel).
Thankfully Miquella never spawned any Joffrey from his existence though that is probably because we offed him the second we discovered the match at the request of his other persona St. Trina.
Miquella that said is good at playing the role of(and believing himself to be) Tommen despite being a Cersei(a Cersei in Tommen Clothing) so he is a lot more dangerous than she ever was(too bad our Tarnished Playable Character the Khal Drogo of the story was busy brute forcing his way to power and wanted either Marika the Aerys of the Story or Ranni the Daenerys of the Story for Consort and refused to let Cersei take his throne).
We also fight the Lord of the Frenzied Flame(and I don’t mean our Playable Character who is clearly the Outer God’s replacement) who had his powers sealed away until we beat him up enough that he has enough and removes the Seal despite doing so being painful.
