And that’s fine. I just dislike people who are hating on the show and any new SW content just because it’s Disney

As far as Mara Jade goes, there’s still hope that Disney will make her canon someday. They have been poaching the legends content and modernizing it :dracthyr_nod:

Some people are just hating and others have been burned a bit too many times to take anything Disney SW does without a grain of salt. And then there are the one who are taking RL politics into it (avoid those people some of them genuinely scare me) and getting far angrier than they should ever get about a story.

I still have hope that Disney will bring Mara Jade into the story. They could even say that she and Luke were together for a time but split up due to some reason. Heck, it could even be a Picard season three situation where she had a child with Luke and choose to hide that fact in order to protect him.

I hope they do more with the High Republic era though. So far it’s been interesting, and this show so far has sowed the seeds of why it was so easy for Palpatine to manipulate and turn the entire galaxy against the jedi.

I’m am curious of who the witches were from episode 3 though and if they’re Singing Mountain or maybe even Nightsister clan members that were exiled from Dathomir or another brand new clan all together

I definitely saw similarities with the Dathomir Witches but I’m fairly certain it’s a new force cult.

As for how the Jedi fell so easily, I actually think pride may have been the biggest factor. The Jedi had been dominant for thousands of years at this point in the story. To the point that they had changed from whatever they originally were. I’m curious if Disney would touch on the origin story of the Jedi. They may not want to given how passionate some people are about it though.

Didn’t they announce a Jedi Origins movie in November?

I know they announced a new movie about Rey rebuilding the Jedi Order

Google is saying that the movie is titled “Dawn of the Jedi” and is set 25,000 years before episode 4.

Looks like it’s still in very early stages of development.

The only way that will work in the long term is if they actually accept that emotions are healthy and teach people how to process their emotions in a healthy way…

I’d love to see Rey finding old Sith/Dark Sider lore/knowledge and weaving it in with the Jedi to knowledge to regain a more balanced and healthier mindset amongst those who seek to master their powers.

I would love to see that. Rey is one of my fav SW characters, so happy to see Daisy coming back again :dracthyr_heart:

The last 2 main SW movies came out when I was on that grindset and working 60 hour weeks at a miserable dev job building my career so I’ve always wanted to catch up but hoo boy is the amount of content that’s come out since a bit off putting

Good thing about the streaming services is you can just hit an episode, or more, let them work into your system and then go back… or even create your own self-imposed weekly tv schedule…

The problem with streaming is I’m an old man in everything but chronological age and if something doesn’t grip me I tend to just go and put on something I watched as a kid and end up binging that while working on other stuff.

lol, nothing wrong with that. Just try not to get too stuck in the past.

Star Wars is like my comfort thing. I love watching the movies and the shows. But I also love the weekly schedule Disney does with the shows. It gets you excited and something to look forward too. :dracthyr_nod:

I’m 30 and I do this too lol.

I’ve seen every Star Trek series through minimum 7 times each. (With the exception of TOS and TAS)

I like the movies but can’t help but think of my friend whose family were huge Starwars fans back before the prequels came out. Camped out for tickets at the local movie theatre as a family and talking about every leaked scene and plot point kind of fans.

I think the years of hype kinda backfired because when I talked to him afterwards, they absolutely hated it.

Star Wars is much better if one doesn’t take it seriously. Friend of mine takes it very seriously and will rant about The Last Jedi at the drop of a hat (And he’ll drop the hat). I keep telling him that it’s a much better movie if you just take it as a fun, big explosion bubble gum experience rather than getting wound up about canon this or canon that. Life’s too short.

Funny part is, and I know people like him. When the next trilogy comes out? These same people will act like they always loved the Sequels.

It’s hypocritical. They did the same exact thing with the prequel trilogy. Hated it until the sequels came out and than all of a sudden they love the prequel trilogy, etc etc

These are the same people who bullied a CHILD who played young anakin in Episode 1 and almost drove Ahmed Best to suicide and absolutely HATED Hayden Christianson when he played Anakin in Episode 2 and 3 and now want to act like they always loved him

There’s a dangerous subset of SW fans who will attack anyone that dares to against their precious Original Trilogy
