Good news! Madoka Magica is not only getting the Magia Record Anime but a Sequel as well!
FFXIV starts really really slow. Dahar couldn’t get past the first fifty-ish levels.
The main story questline (msq) is very group unfriendly as well. Most of the msq scenarios have to be done solo and force you to drop any group you’re in.
Things improve significantly later on, but the start is kind of rough.
I’m about 90% done with expansion 1 so I hear you. I already bought Shadowbringers, and plan to play through it and then decide to keep playing or not.
They will probably launch 8.2 PTR right after this !
I am eager to see some refreshing news about anything else than than the faction war.
The actual Q&A will surely be disappointing though, just as always.
Did they ever resolve that whole Rebellion story arc or has that been dropped and this is a separate continuity?
The Sequel is probably a continuation… Homura’s story is most likely going to get a resolution. Hopefully the Sequel makes references to the Prequel Anime also coming up: Magia Record.
Truth be told, I haven’t watched a Magica series since the original one. It’s kind of like Danganronpa in its annoying tendency to repetitively make people you like suffer with no real payoff for too long that it gets boring and unenjoyable.
This is the extent of my knowledge of Madoka.
The Madoka Magica Franchise has at the moment only one Anime Show with a Movie Sequel in The Rebellion Story(the idea that Homura would turn into a Love Demon apparently was the idea of Madoka Magica’s Director Akiyuki Shinbo who was also the Director of Lyrical Nanoha which means he likely masterminded Fate Testarossa’s existence).
Soon the Franchise will have two more Anime Shows: One an Anime adaptation of the Mobile Prequel of the Main Series and the other the Sequel to The Rebellion Story. I’m hyped!
I don’t mind that now, since it’s new to me, and I’m making a meal out of exploring everything. But, I could see it being a bit of a slog if I had to drag a new character back through it again.
My only real complaint so far is I find the Garleans and their tech a bit jarring, tonally. But, I got used to the magitech of the Draenei, and the nuclear capabilities of the Gnomes, so I’m sure I’ll manage.
Well, I made a character in FFXIV. We’ll see how it goes for now. Couldn’t make a character on the server listed above. It was locked. Say hello to Arawynn Mistwalker.
Sylvanas has had curved swords since vanilla WoW.

She wields two of them, I think. It’s been a while since I raided her, but I’m pretty sure she fights with twin scimitars when in melee combat.
I might have played Duskwight if there was any lore at all to them besides “They used to live underground, and now some are bandits”. That said, they’re still on the short list for a possible alt, one day.
What kind of Goblin’s hell is this?
They should call the Goblin’s slayer in Darkshore.
I’ve never played any of the FF games - shocking, I know - so I just chose a race that appealed to me. I admit I like playing Elves.
Also, another person said the starting city was fantastic and described Arcanists, which also appealed to me.
Yea. Limsa Lominsa is my favorite city out of the three main ones. I like their aesthetic the best. And their leader is my favorite out of em as well.
I also started as an Arcanist, though later gravitated to Archer/Bard after trying a few different classes out. Arcanists are cool cause they’re the only class that evolves into 2 separate jobs: Summoner for DPS and Scholar for Healing.
And best thing is they’re linked. So leveling one also levels the others. If you level Summoner to max and decide to try Scholar, it’ll be at max as well.
I think twin scims are a popular swordsmanship technique in the Eastern Kingdoms.

Yeah, I picked a Wildwood ('cus muh Wood Elves). And I picked Archer/Bard so I could start in Gridania. Still my favorite city.
Oh hi, it’s been a while. How has everyone been?
I’m having an absolute blast playing ESO right now, but it’s triggering migraines pretty much daily for me which really sucks. I’m going to try only playing for a few hours for a while and see if that helps.
