Story Forum Community Lounge (Part 1)

How is it that we have 5 threads about Saurfang and nobody is talking about the new Makura model yet?
Just learned that Princess Talanji is voiced by Susan Wokoma, the star of the ingenious supernatural dramady Crazyhead. This makes me somewhat happier about Rastakhan's death.
Anyone feel like the the new goblin models seem a little too... cutesy? Could just attribute some of it to the lighting in the comparisons, but they kinda look too smooth and clean. They don't look much like the wrinkly, greasy looking creatures I've grown accustomed to.
Oh gosh I'm such a doofus. I saw Grandblade in trade chat earlier, and wanted to say hi! But, I didn't want to say hi to the wrong person, so I quickly checked his guild on these forums to make double sure. Then I excitedly tabbed back to WoW and told the whole of tradechat, "Hi Grandblade!!!"

But then, I realized, he wasn't actually in trade chat anymore, he was in Uldir! So I said a big excited hi to exactly no one. I blushed super hard and fled the city! Hopefully people didn't think I was a nutso... it had been a good couple of minutes since he'd last spoken, and chat seemed to have moved on. Gah! I'm a dork!

Anyway Grandblade, if you happen to pop in here, uh, hi! I liked seeing your spirited debating in trade chat. Hope Uldir went well and you got awesome loot :)

They look almost the same to me, honestly. The shading might make them look... cleaner? But their current models still hold up to the point that I think they could have gotten away with just giving them physical eyes like the other new models.

It's a nicely designed model but I'm a bit annoyed they made it so humanoid.

I have just the opposite feeling, these are the zany, energetic, crazy goblins from WC2, WC3 and Vanilla-Wotlk that I loved

Cata goblin models always looked grumpy and hungover. None of them smiled. And frankly I still wish some of their emotes sounded a little more sincere.

In other news I have... 22h left of subscription.

And so since I won't be able to post here for much longer, I should say a few things

"I will miss you Dahar".

"High elf fans are silly and unreasonable"

rip friend.

So how many people have unsubbed so far? I know who I haven't seen posting, but I don't know if that's because they unsubbed or because they switched to posting on a different character.

To be honest, I've always wanted to see a return to the cartoony, zany goblins of WCIII-Wrath.

Seems odd that goblins were such a demanded race, but then the ones we got were so fundamentally different than the regular goblins.

That's what I was thinking, was that they got an update in either WoD (seems like I remember a battle pet) or Legion, for Aszuna.

Is it *squints at a couple of photos* I guess it is. Oh well, still cool to see them getting some spotlight.

You think that's bad. At least you don't have people saying they've been "Disney-fied" like the female Worgen models.

I am slightly disappoint by the fact that their eyes look way too normal. Hope we get some customize option for the face that changes the eyes or at least their color.

Then you don't know Hana-chan. She's like...the walking manifestation of the goodness in humanity.

Whenever she's around "Walking On Sunshine" plays somewhere.
The rep grind is real and it is killing me.

I'm ALMOST done hitting exalted with The Honorbound. Maybe 2-3 weeks left of grinding WQs. I'm still not even half way with 7th Legion and I only just finished hitting Revered for Vol'Dun. (I want the Hyena and the rep maxed out on the off chance that Vulpera actually become an allied race).
Then came the new info about Kul Tirans and the Zanadalar Trolls. I haven't even really started on those yet.

Literally since I started this game all those months ago, most of my time playing has been spent rep grinding to unlock Allied Races or other things.

hElP mE.

Ugh - the rep grind was absurd.

The rewards don't make sense, either. I ground out the reps about as quickly as possible (without using the exploit) and I hit exalted with most of the factions well after I already was getting 370 gear from Uldir and mythic+.

They should have put the cape at Friendly, the 335 (?) item at honoured, and the 355 item at revered so more people could have actually used them. Just use exalted for things like mounts, pets, tabards, and recipes.

There was a thread on GD about one of the artists saying that they'll have a glowing eye option, but that could be bull.

I heard that as well. But I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. The new female Worgen model is pretty ok.

Which is a vast improvement over completely terrible.

Incidentally, I noticed they put paw pads on the hands and fingers. That's the part I'm not sure how I feel about.

Im sorry but coming to the lore based forum and declaring no serious lore based discussion is just... oxymoronic though...

The SF lounge is like the break room. It's where we gather around the water cooler and talk about anything other than WoW lore. It keeps us from strangling each other in the other threads.

The SF Discord, on the other hand, is the seedy bar we go to after hours. It's where we gather to talk about anything and everything, scream at each other, and get drunk. It even attracts people from the EU SF. Just don't fall asleep in the SF Discord or you may wake up with a Tauren dong drawn on your face.

Please let it be true, I will sacrifice my first born.

I just joined the discord myself. I want a Tauren shlong drawn on my face. You don't even have to wait for me to fall asleep first.
