Seeing as the prepatch involves Tirisfal I’m sure it will update the zone. But that can’t come quick enough as I’m not doing that quest on every single toon.

I was pretty sure I already did it on my Rogue but clearly that was someone else. WoW quests in general aren’t great for replay value, but bombing run ones are the worst. As there isn’t even the faint novelty of having to approach the problem differently with a different class’s tools.

I was in the BC Beta and after the very first bombing run quest I eagerly filled out something like: THIS IS THE BEST QUEST EVER LET US DO THIS ALL THE TIME

I would like to apologize to the WoW community and I believe, in that moment, a monkey’s paw curled.

I just did it over and over because I didn’t know it was optional. it was like a Merry-go-round I wasn’t allowed to get off of.

Has anyone heard about the new Sacheen Littlefeather controversy?

I heard. Her sisters are claiming she isn’t Native American but actually half Mexican and that their father wasn’t abusive and that they didn’t live in terrible poverty.

yes, I know about the controversy. She recently passed away from breast cancer and there was an article written about her by Jacqueline Keeler, a native journalist. Now I have heard it said that Jacqueline Keeler is obsessed with Blood Quantum Theory, if you don’t know what that is look it up but the jist is if a native person marries a white person (edit: not just white, if they marry outside of their culture) they lose thier native blood and native status. It’s ethnic cleansing basically, and a byproduct of colonialism. I have heard allegations that Keeler is alledgidly racist towards dark skinned natives and black people. But that’s just heresay and what I have heard in my communities.

This is the article https://jacquelinekeeler.substack.com/p/hollywood-fantasy-is-sacheen-littlefeather?utm_medium=email

The article calls into question Sacheen Littlefeather’s apache ancestry, because she doesn’t have enough apache blood as per Blood Quantum Theory.

Here’s some good reading on why Blood Quantum is problematic. It’s Genocide. https://www.theindigenousfoundation.org/articles/bloodquantum#:~:text=What%20is%20Blood%20Quantum%3F,such%20as%20%C2%BC%20or%20%C2%BD.

I think this one is a strong “wait and see” with a heavy side of “not my business” personally. Sisters are quoted as part of the article, but per them, they literally ‘found out’ from the reporter, who did all of a four-day investigation. As mentioned above, Keeler is not respected by Indigenous communities. And they clearly do not like their sister.

Might be something there, but it’s hard to say and also this isn’t an issue that affects me/can have an impact on people I know, so I’m not sure I need to have an opinion more than that.

I too don’t have a opinion one way or another, as it doesn’t personally affect me or anyone I know.

And I say that because IF and that’s a big IF, she did lie, the only reputation she ruined was her own.

I think it was an Award Show for cinema. Brando was the winner of an Acting Award, and he allowed for someone to accept his award, to make a statement about how Native Americans are treated.

I do not know her ethnicity, and it does not bother me much - it was an acting award. Acting would have been in the spirit of the event.

I saw the previous movie, Pearl is a prequel to it, and the other movie was just called X or something and literally was out 6 months or so before lol so I was surprised how fast a sequel prequel was released, but I didn’t care too much for the first one xD

HAVE YOU SEEN The Empress on Netflix I love a good historical drama, which speaking of I wish Netflix would give us Yanxi Palace Princess Adventures season 2 the original show I watched on prime though I think netflix doesn’t have the original Yanxi Palace

Also yep this!

Personally I rather like it, but I view it as kinda a core streaming app now that they have all current Bravo shows on there (theres like a one day delay though but thats not an issue for me what so ever its the current seasons so I am content)

Both movies were filmed at the same time and they’re working on a sequel now.

Oh interesting that explains why it came out so quickly

What really gets my goat is that later in BC they let you do them on your own flying mount. Which was really fun, especially because there was a risk of getting shot down. I still remember always dutifully making sure my engineer’s parachute cloak was equipped before taking off. Wild idea here but player agency is a good thing, actually.

And the thing is I can picture the cool set piece moments they’re aiming for with a lot of these. Like say in Darkshore riding a dragon into a tornado and getting into a dogfight sounds really, really cool. But in practice you’re robbed of all control and just get to hit the shoot button for a bit until it’s over.

Wish there was more lore on crime and punishment.

I’m still puzzling out a character idea for my undead Rogue and I like the concept of her being a Gilnean Inspector, as I’m a fan of Victorian mystery stories. And I think Rogue as law enforcement works well for the Forsaken as the Deathstalkers frequently have positions of authority their counterparts in the Shattered Hand or SI:7 don’t seem to. We get some glimpses of how the ‘justice’ system in SW and Kul Tiras works but that’s about it.

Personally I really wonder what the Forsaken’s laws look like. We know the punishment for high treason is true death. Which is like regular death but even deathier.

But what are the lighter punishments? They’re in a position where barbaric capital punishment would actually be more of an inconvenience than a bad end. I’m picturing this;

Something like a lawyer going This forsaken is a lunatic, they need to be held for their crimes!

And a judge basically going Yeah well, long as his lunacy continues to help us, I’ll let him go

Joking aside, I don’t think the forsaken have many things they consider to be worthy of punishment, as long as it isn’t done to other forsaken. Like experimentation on other forsaken and such is a big no no in their society

Found this it’s MBTI types as HOTD characters

… I’m ESTP and I have my choice of Daemon or Harwin… I-

I KNEW I WOULDNT GET ALICENT bcz she’s too introverted but ugh. I’m okay w Harwin I guess. Not me being extroverted somehow getting all these alignments w not my favs

EDIT to say: Actually one test I took gave me ENTP and another ESTP so idk which I am but I think ESTP is more me minus the competitive aspect.

Nothing in Dragonflight seems to really interest me or compel me to keep playing, especially with how busy I am now with life. I may just cancel my sub.

Tbh I think SL sunk expectations so low that just about anything will be a pleasant surprise now.

Seriously I stuck out all of BFA but I just can’t with SL. I really knuckled down and tried to be a good sport about this Zereth Mortis buisness but I got as far as completing the main questline before giving up. SL really is the master of being somehow completely incomprehensible while somehow still being painfully dull. It’s like watching Ben Stein fall into drug fueled psychosis. Usually the ramblings of a mad man are interesting but not if done in that monotone.

I can’t even play Time-walking dungeons anymore, I and usually love those. There’s just too much grind in SL, and there’s no point to working on it since a new expansion is around the corner.

Even the soundtrack for Shadowlands was a colossal disappointment. It’s probably the first time I’ve refused to buy a copy. I think SL’s only accomplishment was to make me appreciate Tyrande, seeing as how Blizzard keeps going out of their way to humiliate and shame her. Its funny because I used to dislike her.
