Daemon is my fav character on the whole show really. Dude just not care what others or society thinks of how he does things and he often did questionable stuff just to aggravate and stick it to his brother whenever he felt like it

I know plenty of people who are exactly like Daemon on social media

Tbh I donā€™t like how heā€™s done certain things, but I like him for owning up to what he is. Itā€™s so much better to work with the evil you know than the evil you donā€™t. And heā€™s one of the few people that called out Visereys instead of fluffing him. And I largely blame Visereysā€™ willful ignorance for all the problems the characters are facing now

I guess thatā€™s why I love the character. Heā€™s not a nice guy and heā€™s aware of that fact. He does love his brother, and often told the hard truths when nobody else dared too.

I will say no one enjoys a fire more than the firemen.

Itā€™s a weird kind of enjoying, but all the same. You get us into a big truck going fast and making a lot of noise and the adrenaline gets going and then thereā€™s fire and we break stuff and use all our muscles. Last fire I was on, my partner was this gungho lifer. Iā€™m pretty chill and a bit greenā€¦ especially at 11:30 at night after a beer or two, so it wasnā€™t a great match. Heā€™s riding me the whole time and Iā€™m just like ā€œone step at a timeā€. We started dumping water on an exposure next to a propane tank and while I was doing that, because my partner is nuts and wanted to chase that fire, he rode the chief until we got permission to make entry. So weā€™re chasing the fire through a mild hoarder house with the ceiling mostly dropping on usā€¦ and then ammo starts going off and chief orders us out. My partner was so disappointed. He found a boat to stand on to give him the best angle for fire attack and I went off to start cleanup.

I absolutely want a different partner next fire. I am not mentally equipped for people set to RADICAL at all times. But he loves a fire. So do I. We both lost our houses when we were fairly young, which makes growing up to be a firefighter seem like a great idea.

I have some lingering issues with fire. That Rings Of Power episode with the burning building? Yeah, I stiffened up. Took me forever to be able to light matches and longer in high school to be able to start the alcohol camp stove to cook for me and my dog team. Obviously, I can run into a burning building now, but itā€™s complicated.

I have got my likes back I do believe!

Normally/generally I guess depending on thread or threads I am invested in at the time I just come back next day if I am out

I had to scroll up to find this post but since you shared a fan edit I thought Iā€™d share my two favs I found recent

The first literally made me tear up a bit, and then the second one I really said not a wholesome little Galadriel Halbrand edit to crazy in love

Though I donā€™t have Amazon Prime, I have been watching scenes that are posted to YouTube from the show and I must say, whoever they picked to play Sauron in the show seems like heā€™s killed it.

It looks like a pretty cool show otherwise :dragon:

Its so bittersweet to me that he ended up being him bcz I suspected as soon as I did a little googling of Saurons story (casual fan of Tolkien so I donā€™t know that much) and the like character was very or to me seemed a little too attached to Numenor all of the sudden and I was like hmmm this is sus given I read something about Sauron and Numenor.

But he was such a good character and I loved him and Galadriels friendship they were building so much I didnā€™t want it to be true, but then at that point I kinda also think theyā€™d make a power duo but alas -

Also total side note I feel like I totally get the prime thing, I honestly only have it bcz its my dads account LOL I donā€™t think Iā€™d have it otherwise, this is also the first show Iā€™ve really watched on their platform.

I saw one video of him and Galadriel on the boat and I thought the shot of their shadows in the water was cool, as it shown Saurons true form and Galadriel when sheā€™s older

I mean, I would have Prime, but Iā€™m already paying for Disney+ and a few other things. :dragon:

Honestly, my favorite part is watching all the Bad Ideas happen with good intentions and knowing where theyā€™re going.

I live for that, ā€œoh honey, noā€. Especially with the dwarves obviously, but meaning well but maybe not thinking things through and WOMP WOMP OFF A CLIFF WE GO is a good emotional trigger for me. And a lot more effective than yeeeeearning, because romantic pining is usually in the ā€œoh, gag me with a gut bagā€ division. For me. Your mileage may vary and thatā€™s fine. A lot of violence in shows is annoying, unrealistic, or clearly done to titillate (also true of naked times, except thatā€™s not even my jam to begin with), but give me people trying to make the best choices and all the fallout from those choices. I love that.

Youā€™re either going to see more or less of me, because I am temporarily someplace with no cell service or computer, so itā€™s books, taking care of critters, walks, beer, drawing and arguing on the internet for me for the next week.

I suppose I could stream stuff but my husbot just introduced me to this thing called Libby where you can get your state library as ebooks so Iā€™m going to be honest here: Iā€™m making a metaphorical and partially literal book pile of fantasy/sf novels of dubious worth and not emerging until my eyes start twitching.

The ones I canā€™t go w/o are HBO Max/ Peacock/ Disney+

Though I also have netflix and hulu I would say hulu would be the first to go if I wanted to cut one out.

Peacock has the entire real housewives seasons AND current seasons at that its just a 1 day delay so that alone peaked it to a necessity for me, but it also offers some cool free movies that are in theaters (which HBO max for a time was doing?) idk but Halloween is on there rn which I plan on watching sometime soon :dracthyr_heart:

I have the Disney+ bundle. So I got Hulu and ESPN+ for free. Having to watch commercials on Hulu isnā€™t bad. Itā€™s got great movies and a lot of great anime shows.

I LOVE Disney+. It has everything I need

Iā€™m SO excited for the Ahsoka show.

The mandalorian took a long minute to grow on me but I like it now

Iā€™m excited for Asoka because Thrawn is making his live action debut in the show, so thatā€™s awesome just by itself.

Iā€™m also excited for The Acolyte set thousands of years before the orignal trilogy. It sounds cool to me.

Itā€™s a shame they cancelled the X-Wing show though
