Kek originates from Korean. Itā€™s a shortening of Kekeke, which is the English transliteration of the Korean laughing onomatopoeia, 態態態. This was Blizzard culture because of Starcraft. And of course it became a big thing here, beginning as an in-joke.

I do not, however, associate Kek with Koreans because the English pronunciation is totally different in every way possible. The sound in Korean for Americans is best described as the Hebrew ā€œchā€, like ā€œchanukahā€, inserted in place of the ā€œhā€ in ā€œheheheā€. Itā€™s a pleasant, joyful sound to my ears, and I tend to think of it as on the high (but not shrill) side, both because of Koreanā€™s higher pitch and because of how much I associate it with the laughter of children in particular. The English sound is guttural and very flat.

At this point, I probably associate it first with 4chan and its offspring and second with WoW.

What sort of Star Wars Character would be a Good Influence on Canon?

Would G0-T0 and HK-47 be a Good Influence on Canon? They never died outside of Cut Content in the KotOR Games they debuted in.

G0-T0ā€™s characterization is interesting enough to bring into the Star Wars Franchise surely!

He and HK-47 are much more interesting than any other Character besides Thrawn, Sith Emperor Vowrawn, Sith Empress Acina, Sith Emperor Vitiate, Darth Nihilus & Darth Traya anyways.

Of course in my opinion the most interesting part of Darth Traya is what she is in the Cut Content: A Malachor-spawned Echo of Atris when she disguised herself in order to join the Final Battle of the Mandalorian War.

Atris removed the disguise while her Echo Traya went and studied the Exile.

Surely such a character would be interesting even if she lived all the way into the modern era as a Night Sister.

The Chosen One Prophecy is not yet truly fulfilled so the Sith Emperors and Sith Empress can technically survive to the modern era so that Anakin can bring about their destruction removing the Cancer they represent.

I really liked K2; it is one of my favorite pieces of Star Wars ever. I would have to veto this, personally.

G0-T0 was an interesting concept, definitely one of the greats ā€“ I put him and Kreia much higher than basically everyone else on your list. I just donā€™t see his concept as surviving meaningfully outside of the game he debuted in.

HK-47 was a one-note joke that should have died with KotOR 1, in my opinion. A funny joke, but a one-note joke. Interestingly, I felt K2 did a great job building depth on him where possible, but I feel these are peculiarities of the strong writing of Chris Avellone rather than being concepts that can be simply extended into many other stories indefinitely.

HK-55 is the only other use of the HK series outside of K1 and K2 that was any good (easily the best writing in SWTOR, despite being in a very weak piece of SWTOR overall) and that worked by inverting the core concept rather than actually importing the character.

With Dragonflight uping the system requirements, itā€™s time that I get a new computer. Iā€™ve been playing on a very outdated system and it probably wonā€™t be able to run Dragonflight. The main thing I need is probably an SSD which I donā€™t have yet. I heard dragonriding use to cause people to disconnect because of how intensive it is.

The 410% flight speed was always considered a hard limitation WoW could never surpass. The second i heard you could go faster my mind was blown. Upping system requirements is one way to handle that.

Wake up this morning to several missed calls from what turns out to be the county jail. I guess itā€™s not bad because my first sergeant or commander didnā€™t try calling or messaging me.

I upgraded for SL and it was definitely a good choice, my old PC wouldā€™ve thrown up in Ardenweald otherwise. Excited to see how my new one preforms in DF!

Christ I am flying around the new Tirisfal and it has a bad habit of throwing you to the old phase when you fly to places like the Scarlet Monastery.

Trayaā€™s teachings seem to be about discovering how the Exile became who she/he is and making a lesson out of that.

The Lesson of Strength does make one think: Darth Sidious acts as if an Empire ruled by him embodies Power despite the fact that he has to Delegate the Power.

Power that is delegated is not Power at all!

The only real Powers to control the Galaxy are the powers that work on the Mind.

Manipulations and Machinations that is the true Power that controls the Galaxy.

Corruption in the Galactic Republicā€™s Senate that needs to be gotten rid of? Get the Corrupt Senators to eliminate each other even if you have to Mind Trick them or use Subtle Telekinesis to do it!

Power over the Galaxy is being able to notice a set of Dominos and having the means to knock them over at the required point!

Ever since Revenge of the Sith Darth Sidious has always relied on others for his power. He used to use Manipulations and Machinations to control the Galaxy but once he declared himself Emperor he began Delegating and lost his power to the People themselves.

By introducing the Planet Killing Star Destroyers he gave everyone the Power to destroy Planets while denying himself the Power without realizing it!

To control the world one needs to know where the Dominos(persons of influence) for what one wants done are and knock over the Dominos in the right direction. One wrong direction and you release something you donā€™t want released into the world.

Phasing is still a bit of a nightmare in some spots of Cataclysm Iā€™ve found. All the more reason to overhaul the main continents IMO.

I genuinely thought I was losing my mind at first. Because Iā€™d had the thought to go visit the Bronze dragon to see how many versions of Tirisfal. And thought for a moment I mustā€™ve already done that. And when I did visit her I told her to put me back in the present and I got back to the post Reclamation Tirisfal.

So I was extremely confused. But on my second flyover I noticed I was actually slipping back into pre BFA Tirisfal anytime I flew to the Eastern chunk of the map. The map changed and everything. But flying to the West again phased me back into post BFA.

Itā€™s really bizarre.

And I only took a closer look because I noticed human Tirisfal Farmers had taken over Coldhearth Manor which has historically been overrun by mindless zombies. The farmers were only ever found in the Solliden Farmstead so I wondered if that was noteworthy. Scarlets also patrol the road in front of it.

So maybe? But seeing as they moved a bunch of NPCs around the map Iā€™m thinking that might have just been a mistake.

If someone were to get Nintendo to make A Link to the Past TV Show, Linkā€™s Awakening TV Show, Ocarina of Time TV Show, Majoraā€™s Mask TV Show, Oracle of Ages TV Show and Oracle of Seasons TV Show in the same line as the Super Mario Super Show, the New Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World then the shows would be sequels to the Games they are adaptations of.

Logistically the Characters would follow the Characterization of the Zelda Manga though still follow the Continuity of the Games.

Of course the temptation of having Ocarina of Time Link become a Kokiri for real via the Forest Sage might work for the A Link to the Past backstory better than Hyrule Historiaā€™s backstory since it would result in Ocarina of Time Link getting sealed by the Master Sword even longer and though the King would be prepared for Ganon this time and be able to seal away the Sacred Realm the Triforce would be safely in Ganonā€™s hands.

Since Ocarina of Time Link would be in the Sacred Realm when the Seal is removed from him(in otherwords when A Link to the Past Link grabs the Master Sword after using the Pendants as proof that he can wield it despite being a Child) he would automatically be put into an enchanted sleep by Ganon.

If Zelda from Ocarina of Time wants Ocarina of Time Link to recognize her when he wakes up she would logically want to use the Sageā€™s power to revert back to her childhood age and wait at the Temple of Time which Iā€™m sure is somewhere in the Lost Woods of A Link to the Pastā€™s Hyrule as is the rest of Ocarina of Timeā€™s setting besides Lake Hylia and the Gerudo Desert.

Just to remind you: the Mountains of A Link to the Past is the Hebra Mountains in the Japanese Version not Death Mountain! Using Breath of the Wild as a compass one can easily deem the location of the Gerudo Desert from the Hebra Mountainsā€™ location in relation to the Lost Woods and Lake Hylia.

Judging from the map it would seem the Gerudo Highlands is part of the Hebra Mountain Region. Case in point: the Gerudo Highlands of Breath of the Wild and the Hebra Mountains of A Link to the Past both have Spectacle Rock.

Lake Hylia is right next to the Great Plataeu in Breath of the Wild so the Lost Woods has grown big to keep Ganon from invading Hyrule Castle upon breaking his seal. The portal to the Sacred Realm is in the Temple of Time so extending the Forest to keep Ganon out of New Kakariko Village is logical.

Ganon can have the Ocarina of Time Setting for all the King cares it seems! Ganon invaded Hyrule because he coveted the good land so heā€™s not going to bother with some castle situated right next to the Desert when he could be conquering the Good Lands north and west of Hyrule.

Oh sure Mabe Village may become Ganonā€™s property but does the King really care about a group of reckless Hylians who decided to build a Village next to Lon Lon Ranch after he moved everyone else? No!

Incidentally the fact that A Link to the Past Link dreamed of Mabe Village in Linkā€™s Awakening suggests he decided to explore Hyrule to see what has been going on beyond the Hyliansā€™ borders.

In any case any Zelda TV Shows made in order of Game Release would logistically have the Link of the A Link to the Past TV Show be Ocarina of Time Link with the Linkā€™s Awakening TV Show featuring A Link to the Pastā€™s Link.

The Ocarina of Time TV Show would basically be Ocarina of Time Link setting up the new 6 Sages thus setting up the Bloodlines of A Link Between Worldsā€™ 6 Sages. Once that is done he would get in contact with his past self and warn him not to become a Kokiri and not to grab the Master Sword.

The Majoraā€™s Mask TV Show would deal with the possibility that Terminaā€™s duplicates are merely illusions created by Skull Kid over another Dimension just as Hyrule Encyclopedia claims thus breaking Tatl who would be desperately searching Termina for clues to what happened to those she supposedly saved eventually resorting to reaching into the A Link to the Past Timeline and grabbing a working version of Majoraā€™s Mask starting another Termina adventure.

The Happy Mask Salesman from Twilight Princessā€™s Timeline wouldnā€™t care less about A Link to the Pastā€™s Timeline and that Timelineā€™s Happy Mask Salesman was starving and poor and thus probably was forced to sell off Majoraā€™s Mask and flee to Labrynna to escape the Maskā€™s destruction of the surrounding area so heā€™s not going to retrieve it once the Links of the Zelda TV Shows defeats it either.

The Mask knowing that itā€™s Host knows the true nature of itā€™s Illusion would probably not even bother with the Moon and simply rewind the Illusionary Duplicates again and again(along with itā€™s Stone Tower) just to taunt Tatl who it has in itā€™s tendrils!

The Maskā€™s defeat would naturally result in it being put in Linkā€™s House.

By the time we get to the Wind Waker setting we will have had our fill of Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Pastā€™s Links and Princess Zeldas who would be the Main Protagonists of 6 TV Show Sequels to Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past!

Of course Nintendo could simply air the Toon Link Shows(Four Swords, Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventures, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks), Adult Link Shows(Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom) alongside the Ocarina of Time/A Link to the Past series of TV Shows thus resulting in A Link Between Worlds coming immediately after the Oracle of Ages TV Show followed by Triforce Heroes.

The irony of the 7th Toon Link TV Show(Triforce Heroes) being the 8th A Link to the Past/Ocarina of Time TV Show would be hilarious since it would be the one Show not taking itself seriously!

As stated all the Links would follow their Manga Counterpartsā€™ Characterization while the Zeldas would for the most part use the tone of voice from Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Former student called me ridiculously late at night from halfway around the world to let me know she just did aces on a college entrance examination and I couldnā€™t be prouder. Sitting here with a big stupid smile on my face.

Just read on why the Great Zapfish looks different from usual in Splatoon 3: Apparently the Great Zapfish is turning into a Mammal and you know what that meansā€¦

Furry Tentacled Inklings and Octolings for Splatoon 3 DLC!

I am so happy! The hit of nostalgia from Suikoden 1/2 being remastered is just overwhelming.

I have said before and I will say it again, I think that game is the perfect template for how the Alliance should feel.

Struggling with Dwarf FOMO and considering race changing to a Dark Iron. Has anyone played with the mole machine racial? Is it as fun as it seems?

I feel similarly about the recent news of Goldeneye being released on Switch and Xbox. The remaster deserves to have a public release.

Discovered yesterday that Timelings and Red Dragonfire Elementals both use the Primal Fire Elemental Model(with separate Skins the Timeling being Golden and the Red Dragonfire being Orange-Red) so that means that 4 out of 5 Dragonflights have an Elemental aligned with them.

Just so you know the Snow Elemental Model has an Arcane Variant.

The Black Dragonflightā€™s Elemental is self-explanatory.

Why donā€™t Green Dragons get a Dream Elemental?
