Ben did you see episide 5 yet?

Was just thinking about random WoW stuff, and for some reason this is how I envision Nathanos treating people under his command. (When he became forsaken)

Random I know, but fun imagining things Nathanos would love to do to people if he was allowed to.

Of The Boys? Yep.

I gotta say it’s been interesting watching it in tandem with Obi Wan. Because it’s sort of a great example about how important direction is, and how most actors can’t work through bad or mediocre direction.

I very sporadically watched Supernatural and so I can’t say how good of an actor Jensen Ackles is. Seemed fine in that show but Scooby Doo Monster of the Week shlock doesn’t exactly call for a tour de force.

With that episode of The Boys though I actually felt bad for his character for a second there. He promptly goes nuclear and spoils any sympathy I had. But the guy finding someone he thought would be happy to see him and being told to kick rocks after decades of captivity actually briefly made me feel for the guy. He’s a terrible human being but still a human being and that’s got to be pretty soul crushing.

Of course he’s the reason nobody came looking for him or was happy to hear he was out. And then he promptly demonstrates why nobody loves him. But I’m curious where his character goes as Homelander is such a petty, delusional and psychotic SOB that almost everyone looks decent next to him.

He’s supposed to be a Captain America knockoff but reminds me a bit of Rogue from X-men. I dig it. I’m not too happy with Hughy and Butcher rn. Butcher is high on power and he’s just ignoring his grief.

Only a matter of time before Butcher realizes he likes the power that Homelander has, and has an emotional spiral. Power addiction is real.

Finaly got Naga Sylvanas in heathstone.
The quest farming is over… finally.

I actually wonder how they’ll tackle that. Butcher in a much more colorful way repeats Lord Acton’s axiom that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

But then you’ve Ingersoll’s counterpoint of “Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power”.

And tbh I tend to side more with Ingersoll. I think power reveals more than it corrupts. I don’t think anyone’s beyond cruelty and tyranny and nobody can say with absolute certainty how theyd act if they became simply exempt from consequences.

Does power really corrupt? Or merely show the darkness that was always there?

I love that, what an awesome reply!

I think you are 100% right.

The difference between Butcher and Homelander is Butcher has empathy, that makes all the difference.

I miss his sarcasm and how he absolutely hated everyone around him but Sylvanas. He so made playing a Forsaken worth it :wolf:

He was very unpopular if the spammed /spit and /rude emotes aimed at him at the start of Seething Shore are any evidence.

But that was refreshing IMO. So many characters speak to you with the sort ot tone I’d use for a child with a gun pointed at me. Then again as the PCs are unkillable mute mass murderers who frequently hop around like kangaroos and make choo choo noises maybe they are acting so impressed and supportive because that’s basically what we are to them.

And there’s Natty Boy, who’s like Great, you retrieved the item and didn’t manage to get my forces killed or spark a major war. Now out of my face

It’s why he’s great :wolf:

Ya know it just occurrd to me that between having a God Empress and Golden Throne you could RP as a Zandalari Prelate as basically a 40k SPHESS MEHREEN.

Just constantly talking in this absurdly grandiose voice;

Good God it’s been so long since I saw that cutscene. WH40k games have to remember not to shell out on voice actors. It’s way, way more entertaining when you’ve people borderline yelling this stilted dialogue in an accent that I can only describe as a mix between Shakespearean and Botched Brain Surgery victim.

Settled on some tattoo designs btw

  • 4 crosses on each place where Christ was nailed, Coptic cross (new one), mozarab cross (celto byzantine style), Andean Cross aka Chakana with a motif from my grandpa’s tribe, and a Lotus style cross used in Japan and India when being christian was illegal
  • Saving a spot on my cervical spine for a Jerusalem cross from razzouk’s in Jerusalem
  • Forearm with scars will be partially covered up with a wrap around wreath of Belladonna and BREADSEED poppy flowers and a poisonous snake from Colombia
  • Non scar forearm will have basil and coca flowers and a non poisonous snake from Colombia

My tattoo artist was fired the day after I settled but she found a new studio so Wednesday lol (fired cuz she’s dating another artist at the studio and the boss didn’t like that so fired her lol)

I may use the WoW Phoenix style and WoW dragon style for another tattoo I wanna get (cuz Scorpio being both Eagle-Phoenix and Snake-Dragon)

Speaking of religion. I been thinking of buying another Celtic cross necklace. Maybe a ring too if I can get my finger measured right.

I’ve been thinking of getting a large piece on my forearm with flowers, skull and a snake. I’ve been following this tattoo artist in Denmark but there’s luckily another artist with a similar style in my city. Very thin linework is what I’m looking for.
