level 48 - 58 is wierd, if feels like you are not able to level in just one spot. I’m running from the basin to EPL and WPL and Felwood and Winterspring.

I know I want to do Nathanos’s quests before i move on to Outland. But I think his quests don’t become available until late 50’s

I am drawing upon memories of sixteen years ago, but yes; they give you quests. But it’s not a lot. It’s like… Three or four? But IMO, grind the rep out now. Rep you’ll want + EXP = efficiency!!

Yeah, quests in Classic are weird like that. Like half the quests in a given zone don’t actually take place in the zone. It got slightly better in TBC, but they perfected zone questing in Wrath

Timbermaw Hold rep is a good farm from what I remember, the drops are quite easy and the mods are in a small area

I’m looking forward to quest consistency and quest progression in one zone at a time.

If blizz ever makes a Classic Cata version, I might consider doing that, since thats when worgen were added

I was thinking if they do continue with Classic expansions, I think they should stop with Cata or MoP. Part of me doesn’t want them to make anymore Classic expansions. maybe WoLK and Cata but when do they stop?

WoD was basically the start of “new wow” I would not play it again.

i enjoyed Cata a lot.

That was the first epic I ever got. Still have it in my bank.

I think it’s important that they make classic servers for all of the expansions so we can experience them as they were. They all have gameplay systems which we can’t experience in the current game.

It would be nice to experience endgame at every level. I want an ‘end’ something to work towards.

Leveling in Wrath on retail, made me appreciate Cata even more. Since thats the expansion the removed ammo and having to constantly feed your hunter pets to keep them happy, which caused them to do better dps

I don’t mind Classics of every expansion long as they do with them what they did with Classic and TBC, where you can pay a certain amount to lock yourself into that specific expansion.

I… Cannot play Classic anything. I’ve tried, but I just can’t. Because Classic can never be Classic for me.

When Vanilla came out, the very idea of playing a video game… with my friends… But without my friends sitting right there was foreign to me. The concept of looking up things online for a video game was a concept I hadn’t heard of. And this “Moo” video game you play with other people who are not there doesn’t even have a difficulty setting?? Preposterous!! How do I get my easy win? How does one “win” a War of Worldcraft?

So Vanilla was my into to MMOs, my intro to online gaming, my intro to games without an end screen, and games that expect you to use the Google Machine. Heck, it was my intro to gaming without a controller.

When I think of Vanilla and all my many, many… MANY derpy moments that made Vanilla so fun, I know they aren’t repeatable in Classic. This applies to BC too. I didn’t get mediocre at the game until Cata, and made a lot of noob mistakes for someone who had already played for years by the time I was faceroll healing in Dungeon Finder and only keeping the group alive because of how easy everything was.

Now when I log into Classic, I’m starting off with a troll hunter because of the racials. I’m picking up mining and skinning because I have a plan for my gold. I know even in Classic zones my optimal layout for quickest leveling (learned during my BC alt-craze), what dunegons my hunter will be able to solo, so on and so forth.

I know too much now for those Classic servers to ever feel like how I want them to feel, and every time I play on my Classic trolly hunter, I’m remembering how much more fun things were when I was first discovering them, not after I’d mastered them.

I remembered when Molten Core was first released on Classic and everyone I knew who raided was freaking out because Ragnaros was basically wrecking entire raid groups because no one had mastered his mechanics and it was almost a year before people were rountinly clearing the place.

When they released Classic, people were basically sleep walking through MC because everyone knew the mechanics from running it so many times

That’s basically why I just can’t play Classic.

The Vanilla I remember was hard. It was punishing. I’m not ashamed to admit there were a few nights when I’d log off and just… Cry because I was level 35, my body was stuck in Desolace surrounded by satyr who wouldn’t stop respawning on me, my graveyard was a ways away, and I knew when I finally ressed and fought my way to a safe place to Hearth, I’d spend too much of my precious gold on repairs and might not be able to buy my riding skill when I hit 40 if something didn’t change.

My current Classic character is already sitting on 220+ gold. She’s level 27. I’ll have my epic riding skill and mount money before I have my first riding skill learned. It took me a month and a half in Vanilla to hit level 20. My trolly Classic hit 20 in a day and a half, and that was with too much time spent fishing.

It’s just never going to be the same.

PS: Sorry guys, the forums couldn’t handle the epicness of my Vanilla-era storytelling. I’ll try not to break everything again.

I can’t play Classic because I’ve been playing Feral since WoW launched, and the Winterspring Frostsaber was my first full speed ground mount, and I don’t want distressing flashbacks to those days happening.

God, mine was that teal and green raptor. The one that still makes your eyes bleed. It said it was a blue raptor, not this abomination of garish colors!!

I mean… Not like I cared back then. I loved that hideous monstrosity.
