I’ve only ever had one Night Elf until last week believe it or not. Now I have two Druids. I really should diversify. Maybe I’ll make a Warrior and boost it.
It’s what I did. I played her off and on over the years, then used the boost I got with Shadowlands on her because I didn’t know how good Chromie Time was going to be.
I haven’t actually tried that yet. Is it fast?
It’s still a bit of a grind, but faster than I expected. I usually hit lvl 10+ in about and hour. My Pandaren got squished to 30, and in about an hour, I got her to 36 or 37. And that’s with me dawdling around, re-reading quest text for the hundredth time, doing professions, etc. Like, I’m not remotely a speed leveler. Or even an efficient one.
Starting to think I should ditch the dungeons. You only get about 2/3 of a level in 25 minutes or so.
I haven’t even tried dungeons yet. Trade Chat wisdom says WoD or Legion questing is the fastest/most efficient, but I haven’t looked too hard into corroborating that. I know aforementioned Pandaren got like 5 levels just from the introductory Pandaria quests, up to Pearlfin Village.
WoD had the Bonus Objectives and the Vendor with the Experience Bonus Potion for Garrison resources.
WoD Alt leveling was a breeze with Pathfinder. Now that Pathfinder is baked in, I imagine WoD leveling would be the way to go.
I guess it depends what got nerfed and changed. But WoD leveling had some nifty shortcuts. The Timeless Isle trick saved me a lot of time on Alts - I wonder how that works with the Chromie time stuff.
They nerfed the xp from treasures and bonus objectives but WoD is still the fastest leveling, though Legion isn’t too far behind.
It took me about 20 hours to level from 10-50 (AR), doing dungeons from 10-20, then 20-40 was Eversong Woods, Ghostlands and one level in Qual’Danas. I probably did about 7? BGs and… 4 dungeons? in that time. 40-50 I did Feralas and probably about 5ish BGs and 7ish dungeons. Not bad.
Dear diary,
Slowly plugging away at the alliance war campaign and I had a stupid little realization. I had given my little ally alt a dumb headcanony backstory (that sadly isn’t story-buoyant when I ran it by a lore buff, RIP) but even the absolute dumbest parts of the campaign actually work when viewed through the imaginary lens of a horde expatriate character. Like, really well, to me. But I can get why an actual alliance fan would be peeved off since the story seems to veer 90 degrees into “no actually the horde has some good in it” when the first half of the plot went above and beyond to prove otherwise.
Basically I think the alliance campaign is coming off like an actual honor horde one should have been, which is why I think it’s so dissonant.
You’ll end up with a nelf warrior. They look so great in plate.
I made one last night. Gave them a blind eye and burn scars. Who better than a pissed off Teldrassil survivor for a warrior?
I gave mine black hair, and purple tattoo’s to go with the Night Warrior eyes. I long for Nightborne customization, because I have a NB warrior as well.
I was going to switch and comment to show you mine but she has a helmet on and you can’t see anything lol. I should really look at plate transmogs. I made a mining outfit and never really bothered making another one.
Mine is in slootmog because I’m trying to ham up the “barbarian warrior” theme.
EDIT: Upon further review, I decided to go back to purple hair. Black clashed too much with my transmog, and purple is obviously the best color in the spectrum. WTB more ponytail potions.
And now I’m back to playing the dress-up minigame.
I posted on mine earlier in the thread, but I have her stuffed into the Legion Invasion plate for now. All I need are these [expletive] shoulders I’ve been farming for what feels like 10,000 years, though, and she’ll look like this:

Updated mine. The Sombra hair was kinda everywhere so now she’s: Ka Ren of the Kaldorei.
As a side note, I love the smaller look you get without huge shoulders in the way.
I like the way the Darkshore plate goes in a sort of pattern. Chunky shoulders, slim torso, chunky belt, slim legs, chunky boots.
I’d go without shoulders, since they’re apparently never going to drop, but it messes up the pattern. And the shoulder textures from the chest piece look painted on.
Is she going to go complain to the Jailer’s manager?
