Think of them like rednecks, except they can be found everywhere and not just in whocareshicktown locations.
I just found out how Star vs the Forces of Evil ended. What is it with writers and never considering the gravity of genocide(xenocide in this case)? Especially when itâs the hero doing it.
As long as you demonize the enemy/villain itâs not considered genocide because then they deserve to be murdered to the last and itâs the right thing to do!
You know, like how it was bad that the Night Elves got genocided, but when the Night Elves sent us to genocide Harpies in Legion it wasnât bad since they were savage monsters.
Arthas should have finished the job.
As a member of Team End Times, I agree. Then this could have been a zombie MMO.
What job? He finished his assigned duty⌠and he was worth little else.
Arthas finished himself.
If he is lucky, the writers will save him and give him a Gold Star and a redemption.
If heâs lucky they wonât think to add an Arthas fight to the Jailer raid.
Samus committed Genocide on the Metroids of SR-388 leaving only one survivor and did the same to the X-Viruses leaving no survivors!
She also wiped out the Zebesians(though not the Space Pirates as a whole), the Ing and the natives of Phaaze.
Speaking of which: did you know that Dark Samus is harmed more by the Dark Beam than the Light Beam(which is worthless against her) and in Metroid Prime 3 the Space Pirates she brainwashed mention the Light of PhazonâŚ
I dare say that if Phazon were to crash into Hyrule the entity of Darkness Calamity Ganon(not to mention his creator Ganon) would probably declare war on the Phazon due to it being of the Light.
That reminds me of a video I watched a long while back.
tldr: stop trying to solve everything with murder!
The Chozo tried to Genocide the X-Parasites because they feared the consequences of the Federation getting their hands on them.
If the X-Parasites gained access to Sentient Beings with ships the Galaxy would be doomed in short order.
Samus of course was convinced by someone who thought things through to blow up the entire planet thus making sure the X-Parasites wouldnât be a problem.
Seems the mistake according to Nintendo was the Chozo caring about the other inhabitants of the Planet and not blowing the whole thing up when they had the chance.
Because they spared the Planet Samus ended up having to destroy it in their stead which probably drew the Federationâs ire due to the Federation having found out about the X-Parasites and wanted to use them as a bioweapon.
World of Scourgecraft sounds somewhat interesting
Weâd even still have most of the different races because of Death Knights and Skeletons but with extras on top like Sanâlayn, Banshees, Liches, Gargoyles, etc.
I canât decide if Iâd be a Lich Mage or an Abom Warrior. Though a Scourge Demon Hunter, after Illidanâs failed attack on Arthas, could be fun too.
Do you know how harpies reproduce?
In this game, no. In mythology, yes.
Still not an excuse for genocide.
Oh! I came upon him (Aethas) in Telâanor caught in a harpyâs bonds without a stitch of clothing! Ah!
The harpy was so busy arguing with a banshee over who got to play with him first, that they did not notice me at all.
He looked terribly uncomfortable, so I intervened. And the rest is history!
The old Manual of Monsters also just flat out said harpies reproduce through rape. Though, itâs obviously no longer canon.
I was happy to have completely forgotten this thing with Aethas becoming a joke character, even to Blizzard, and then you had to remind me.
Though thanks for the reminder on harpy reproduction.
If itâs any consolation, either the Manual of Monsters or the Monster Guide had a speculative addendum that allowed for parthenogenesis, as well.
I donât think itâd be interesting to play as Scourge, but to play World of Warcraft with most of the playable races and classes we have now but in a setting thatâs more like The Walking Dead where everyone is more focused on survival
Iâm just here to offer rainbows and cookies, because âŚyeah. Today just needs some rainbows and cookies.
Oh, and a unicorn.
