Hey Wyrmies.
As a campaign runner, I keep pretty detailed notes and summaries of all the campaigns my guilds run, but I rarely get the chance to dive insanely deep into other guilds, and the sort of stories they’re swimming through.
Is there any interest in cataloging summaries of campaigns from guilds/groups on our servers, and using the new forums’ wiki element to collaborate?
The idea is not to create server lore that has be abided by, to be clear, but instead to share with each other what our guilds/rp groups have been up to in a common place.
I know that there always is the concern of people not accepting certain headcanons, or story threads, due to them being slightly lore bendy, but I think (at least for me) an interest in seeing/hearing what others are up is definitely worth it.
Any thoughts?

I love the idea. I like reading other’s stories, and hearing about their character development.
There’s a LOT of guilds, and a lot of events out there. I worry the post would become swiftly unreadable.
It’s not a bad idea for individual guilds to record their stuff in such threads though. That way you can still see what guild plots people are up to, without making one massive superpost
I was thinking something like an index. Story runners could create individual threads for their story summaries, and then we have a WRA master post of all the links, and a one sentence pitch, or description.
The big question comes down to whether it should be the story forum, or the WRA forum, since it is exclusive WRA campaigns/stories.

If it’s to be on the forums, I think the WrA forum is definitely the best choice. The Story forum, as I understand it, is intended for the discussion of WoW’s canon plot, and not for RP or fanfiction (while this would, I think, be something between the two).
Using this post as an index could certainly work, though since a wiki post can be edited by anyone, it would be wise to have someone keep a weather eye on it in case of malicious tampering. There might be other platforms that would make organizing the content easier, but there’s something to be said for using the forums given that everyone who has a WoW subscription can access them and doesn’t need to potentially set up an account on a platform they’ve never used.
The general idea is an interesting one. I don’t know whether or not I would end up making use of it, but since it’s hardly obligatory and could be quite fun for those who want to share, I don’t see any harm.

As it’d be a straight forward index, I wouldn’t be entirely too worried about malicious tampering; if it were the actual summary/detail posts, however, then yes. But regardless, it’s a valid point to bring up - so thanks!
And yeah, it sounds/seems like doing it here on the WRA forums may be best! I really like the idea of it being here on the forums simply due to A) ease and B) the fact that it is relevant to our community, so it’s best to keep it close to home. Plus, it’d get much more traffic, and may be a great way for new RPers/those on the periphery to get involved.

I can dig it. I like the idea, Vanfoth. I will be watching it’s development with great interest
