Why isn’t Stormwind getting the message that the surrounding areas need help? Westfall, Redridge & Darkshire pleas for reinforcements are all being ignored and General Marcus Jonathan is no help.
Do they not know that their King is missing and the child Anduin is on the throne? Granted, the armies have all been sent off to war and the citizens are helping out but none of the township leaders seem to accept this as an answer. Been pondering this as I quest in these zones.
Not enough people doing the Lakeshire message to Stormwind quest it sounds like.

Because Lady Katrana Prestor doesn’t think helping the surrounding areas is something that should be done…I say avoiding spoilers as much as possible.

This is a quote from a Know Your Lore post back in 2011:
“Though Westfall and its citizens were regularly assaulted by the Defias, Stormwind sent no military aid, citing no reason whatsoever for its lack of action.”
This is not really a shock, as the main reason the Defias exists in the first place is because Stormwind never payed those folks for the work they did.

There’s a reason. You’ll find out in a later quest. Marshal Windsor knows why, which is why he got “disappeared”.
