Stormwind is phased and i have no idea what quest did it

So a little bit of a back story

I’m on a boosted character so forgive my noob post

I’m on " An end to the killing quest" and the quest says to go to stormwind to turn the quest in but when i get there the king has no question mark above his head for me to turn in.

The throne room also has a coffin in the center with a bunch of npc’s around the coffin which is not the same as the youtube videos of people turning in.

I also can not enter the mage tower portal to get into the room with the other portals.

Someone said i was phased but i deleted all other active quests but the “An end to the killing” and still can not turn in to the king or use the portal.

The quest said to talk to Wyrmbane to blow up the ship i tried talking to wymbane on the ship to blow up the ship and then i also tried to use the portal near the wheel to get to land and talk to wyrmbane to blow up the ship. I also used the deckhand on land and used the borealas portal to get to stormwind.

I used every portal i could as wowheads description of use the portal to fix it was vague and none worked and i check i am revered with the 7th legion.

I asked around and apparently i have a quest chain going for stormwind that has it phased out and someone said it was the funeral scene which is part of broken shores. The king also says “you survived broken shores” so it leads me to believe that’s what’s causing it.

Here’s the problem

I checked around and it said if the quest is active there would be a portal in stormwind keep before the throne room but there is no portal.

I believe i clicked the board and started the quest, i was on some purple atomsphere place with water and i started a quest with a boat taking me ashore to a bunch of burning ships which, i deleted the ques ( i think this is the broken shore quest line.)

So if the kings funeral scene is part of the broken shores quest line i’m at a loss as to why there is no portal in the room to the left before the throne room.

I went to dalaran to see khadgar and he has the start of the quest “uniting the isles”

So i got to the broken shores somehow and started the questline but i have no way to get back and i have no idea what’s going on.

I deleted all my quests in my quest log from 120 zones to see if it would stop the phasing so i have no idea what quests i had or what is causing the "end of the killing to not work and keep the SW keep in the funeral scene.

The game has so many quests i could spend an eternity trying to fix this, is there a way to contact a GM to find the issue and stop whatever quest chain is causing it?

If it is the funeral quest, go near the chapel or something and see if it is there.

what chapel, what are you referring to.

The chapel in the middle of SW. IIRC, there is a graveyard near where Andudork is also that finishes it. He may not be in the actual throne room or something.

Alternatively, I’d just delete the quests until you fix things and then go back and do them if you want.

Yeah that’s the thing i have no idea where to even start

Did a quick Google for you:

As a demon hunter I was unable to turn in the quest at Anduin. The throne room was stuck in the funeral scene. I searched a long time and turns out, Khadgar was standing outside of the gate to SW keep instructing me to meet Jace Darkweaver inside. From there on you can complete the questline The Call of War to get out of the funeral setting. then you can complete An End to the Killing.

Hope this helps somebody.

There are lot of phasing quests, maybe reading the quests helps?

Huh my bad~ I may have skimmed!

Have you tried to make a ticket? Be sure to explain all the things you’ve already tried so they don’t do what I did to ya and try to herd you to Wowhead.

You could be legitimately bugged out.

I tried making a ticket but i don’t understand how i do it, i click “contact support” and it just sends me around and around without the ability to conact anyone

Blizzard makes it really hard to make a ticket. Use the “stuck on quest” reason, skip through as much as possible.

When it asks you to describe the problem, after you do this copy & paste it as you’ll have to do it again.

It’s very annoying to put in a ticket. I don’t think this is by accident.

One last thing you can do before putting in a ticket is open your map, look for the ? and go there.
They may have moved where you turn in the quest. GL.

Okay, that’s no problem~

You go to the ESC menu in game and then to Help. In Help there will be a lot of different options but you want Open a Ticket.

Once you have one opened you can either type your problem or click below for a categorized selection, I’d just click for the categories myself. You need to then choose In-Game Issues.

Under In-Game Issues we go to Quests and Achievements and then Stuck on a Quest. They will have the Wowhead tip pop up but you just click thru that with the contact option. Scroll down and you’ll see where you enter all your info!

The only downside is they can take awhile to get in contact with you depending on how busy Support is, so may want to fool around on another character or do other content/games while you wait for a answer.

Just drop every quest in your journal, its brutal but likely to fix it

i abanonded every quest in my “L” window but nothing seems to fix it.

Clearly you didn’t read all of it, he did dropped the quests. All of it.

If i abanon all quests shouldn’t that unphase me?

You may have a addon problem for quests ,uncheck them and reload questie sometimes glitches.

Sounds like you’ve tried all the obvious stuff, but…

  • Log out and back in again
  • Zone out to a new area and back in

Is there a way to find out what quests i have done on my wow char in the past so i can find out if i missed something?

A GM will be able to see which is why ticketing is a good step. They have access to that sort of background info.
