Stormwind humans have surprisingly few important characters

Humans are a big part of WoW, arguably the face of the game and definitely the main race of the alliance, but it’s funny how few important characters the Humans of the main playable faction actually have.

Really it’s just Anduin and Mathias Shaw, maybe you could count Halford Wyrmbane now. No females really, the most important female was probably Amber Kearnen and she died, now the only one I could name is Jes’tereth who doesn’t do much.
Really the most important female in stormwind now is Valeera, a Blood elf and she’d probably just leave if it wasn’t because she still has to take care of Anduin.

Varian, Taylor and Benedictus are dead, one of them revealed to be a traitor before he died.

Bolvar is now an undead. Katrana Prestor is dead and she was a dragon.

Jaina is Kul’tiran, Genn and the rest are gilneans. Khadgar is neutral. Turalyon is from Loraderon and he’s more aligned with the AoL than Stormwind.

It’s just funny because other races/cities still have a bunch of important characters while being less important overall.

Maybe Stormwind humans need a few more characters after all, so it’s all not just about Anduin and Shaw.

Topper Mcnabb is the backbone of the Alliance.

And far less bathrooms. You would think a city that large would have restrooms all over the place.

Is ok, I think the player bulk makes up for the lack of important characters.

I’m happy with other races being in the spotlight.

Most important humans are from Lordaeron (the bigger, richer, better, more superior human nation) unfortunately most of them have been killed or turned into undead at this point. Turalyon is the only one left.

We have lots and lots of unimportant characters. Like Stormwind Worker #2. He just plods along from one spot to another, not doing anything. And lets not forget two of the most useless, William and Donna.

I like playing humans but I’d rather see Orcs in the story, I’m sorry but WoD Orc stuff is just badass. Pure badass.

What about that rambo wannabe?

True, he’s our Gamon.

Only Draenor was allowed to have bathrooms, Azeroth shall forever go relief-less.

Well that’s certainly a nice sentiment. It is true, it’s cooler when more races participate. /gives cookies

Still, it’s a funny thing to notice.

I wonder if he’ll have some interaction with Uther and other dead Lordaeronians in SL.

I’m convinced those 2 are demon children, they never grow.

There isn’t that many important orcs left either.

John J. Keeshan, he’s a badass though seems he’s used more as a joke character, you’re right he could be considered important.

Stormwind characters are all potentially important.

Stormwind was not important until Lordaeron collapsed. It was always the Lordaeron that ruled and others followed.

Better to remain on the sidelines rather than draw the attention of Blizzard’s Eye of Sauron. We see what happens to characters they pay attention to.

They’re killing off all the testosterone in WoW, it’s a shame.

I disagree. While I realize you are in fact correct with how little representation SW has, there is just enough humans overall, that I really don’t want to see more. They should let some other races take the spotlight that haven’t really yet. Unless of course it’s to firebomb that race. Blizz should stop that. It’s rude.

Canals are pretty convenient to all parts of SW.
And the Human Hero’es are dead, for the most part. Some of those are Undead.

I mean SW was the main human kingdom in WC1. The alliance was formed in response to its destruction. Loraderon was really only the main Kingdom during WC2 and the start of WC3.

Is not so much that I want more spotlight for humans. I want the spotlight humans want to be divided to new characters not just Anduin and Shaw.

I get that. But most SW Human focus of say new human characters, is still more human spotlight overall, which is my problem. It’s not that I’m disagreeing with your statements, I disagree with the unspoken implications of what you want.

Both cities are old but Lordaeron has always been more important in the lore. I am pretty sure Lordaeron created the “Alliance”.

Fair enough. Though is not so much something I actively want, is more just something funny I noticed about the game.

Yeah it did, but it was as a response to what happened to Stormwind with Anduin Lothar from Stormwind at the head of the army.
