I know you probably have been seeing this a lot lately, but for those who are here for the long haul in ERA, I found some of your changes to be very positive and a healthy alternative to what ERA has been with REND. Everybody knows Alliance players who get the buff, have to do it through means that take time from our days that we could otherwise spend, YOU GUESSED IT, playing the game!
Please take this one change and give us back the best QoL change you have made for ERA in a long while!
Why do you think he wants to play SoD. Era with easier access to Rend for alliance is still a completely different game than SoD. To imply that he would enjoy SoD because he wants MoS on Era is just short sighted or bad faith.
Era is not the place to play if you’re looking for continual updates/changes.
Seasons are specifically for trialing changes to classic wow, so obviously any changes should be tested out there.
Clearly Stormrend was a SoD feature that was never supposed to be on Era. Anyone clamoring for Stormrend to return to Era is entirely missing the function and purpose of Era.
Sorry, but a change that you can literally already get in Rend buff is not really a change, but an updated way of receiving it. It’s not putting anything extra in the game besides the name.
Less time to get the buff so you can spend less time killing the bosses and doing the content you enjoy, or is this a “I dont want to spend time getting world buffs for the GDKP”
You aren’t correct about anything having to do with GDKPs. My main raid I participate in ERA is epgp. For somebody who claims to know so much, you really are wrong about quite a bit!
Secondly, you clearly don’t play ERA if you think the main reason for getting rend is clearing faster… It’s for parsing and it’s needed on most encounters to parse at the top.
For every WB you’re missing for your given role / spec your cut is reduced. I suspect this is the real truth behind most of the “OMGSTORMRENDISGONEIWANTEZMODEBACKQQ” threads on this toic.
It literally makes many bosses flop in 30 sec… It literally speeds up your raid.
Again, it sounds like you are projecting because the main raid I participate in is EPGP. In the GDKPs I do participate, which are few and far between, I do not bring world buffs. Do you know why I don’t? Because Rend as it currently is in game is a hassle to get for every raid. That is precisely why there is a push by ERA players to bring back MoS.
And about your rend comment - rend in the hands of casual players will not have any significant bearing on how fast the boss drops. With our particular raid that is often the case, but we have many characters who are completely BiS. That is not the case for most guilds currently in ERA however.
Alliance has been fine for 20 years without MoS. We don’t need it. I’d sooner see them add a vendor to sell raid buffs than give us MoS (also, please do not do that blizz).
Excluding that you’re opening the door for future changes to Horde PVE also.
Have you forgotten Horde do not have Kings or Salvation?
If you want “some changes” or “Quality of Life” you need to play SoD, Cata or Retail; those are the games made for people who want equality, “Balance” and quality of life.
The horde buff already being in the game and being obtainable by an alliance member who wants to jump through extra hoops so they can parse that much harder is EXACTLY why we do not need a widely accessible buff to every alliance raids DPS output.
Nothing I have suggested would change horde PVE. I am not suggesting we give horde or alliance class changes or anything of the sort.
Again, I am asking for the same buff that has always been attainable for both sides to, you guessed it, be attainable by both sides without all the unnecessary components.
