I really dislike how skyrim basically tricks you into picking stormcloaks because y’know the imperials are trying to execute you in the beginning but later when you read into the diaries and information regarding both factions through the middle of the game it shows you that the imperials are the more objective option as a small country like skyrim stands no chance against the dominion and needs the empire.

I’ve done both, both sides have significant flaws.
Honestly I kind of ended up liking Imperials more than the Stormcloaks. 
Forum police are the worst.

Technically, no. The Thalmor list him as an uncooperative asset. Ulfric causing the civil war is to the benefit of the Thalmor, but he personally doesn’t intend to advance their interests. Ulfric’s absolute victory over the imperials is also considered to be a negative to the Thalmor, so they just want him to keep causing trouble to maintain chaos within the empire.

When I first played Skyrim years ago in high school, I was a staunch Stormcloak supporter.
Funnily enough, when I played the game years later as an adult, I did an about face and supported the Empire. Lol
It is weird how we grow up our perceptions change. Just nature of humans. Hope in Elder scrolls 6 we beat the thalmor

Yeah. I suppose that if there is one thing both factions can agree on, it is that those knife-eared bastards have it coming.
I am really hoping to see what happens with the mede empire as well.
