It’s gonna be like the Walking Dead out there man! Stay safe all us East Coasters! The real coast of course.
All that blizzards and snow and ice will bring about the apocalypse like the forecasters are saying so prepare for the worst! Have that generator and floor heater and blankies ready wooooooweeee. Make sure the dogs and cats don’t go out or they’ll instantly turn into fluffy popsicles and nobody wants that dude!!!
The End Times are here be ready!
Snow and cold air and stuff everywhere! Don’t eat the grass it’s not icing!
I’m actually debating whether or not to put the outdoor kitty that claimed us a couple months ago in the garage. She can’t be indoor with our cat. She hates him and he can’t have his shots, because he’s allergic. But I don’t want her freezing to death and it’s getting harder to keep her water fountain from freezing. And her food.
For once it’s not snowing in my area in upstate NY. Just got done with a week of ice and snow, up to a foot of it. Sick of shoveling already, and it’s January lol
It was 43° in there last night when the outside temp went down to 11°.
She’s got a thermal cat house right now and I figured I’d move that into the garage and put our space heater in there. The pipes may need it anyway. I’ve done that before with the space heater.
Too bad about the shots. We just brought in a black kitty that was dumped. He had a chip and everything but the owners ignored our attempts to reunite them.
We already have two kitties so we have been slowly getting them used to each other. It gets a little better each day with less hissing lol!
Go get a heated water fountain for chickens where it plugs in and keeps the water
from freezing. Put that in your garage for the kitty. Maybe get one of those
cheap styrofoam coolers. Cut a hole in the side so kitty can get inside it with
it turned upsidedown. Put a old blanket inside it for kitty to lay on.
The cooler will absorb kitties body heat which will keep them warm and allow
them to regulate their body heat to stay warm.
Artemis is 9 years old with some health issues. So not only is it not good for him due to health, but it would totally turn his world upside down to have another cat there.
I didn’t sleep much last night, because I was worried about outdoor kitty. We named her Bean.
