Storm Lord @ Blizzard

Totally agree. Anyone who has been around this rodeo for a few years should know by now.

Everyone will be there, if Storms makes the rotation, for the hopes of hitting the Primeval lottery. Even people who already have the trinket, and just want to extort those of us who were not lucky on drops.

Making them tradeable/sellable for two hours encourages this behavior.

Are you guys really getting this hung up on some heirloom?

I agree. A 500k price tag sounds very fair! :smiling_imp:

They’re going to have to extort you within 2 hours of the kill. They pieces are BoA and only tradable to someone who got a tag on the boss. With that said, if storm does spawn, definitely bring a chunk of coin to the kill.

That, or extend the event for another few days? What exactly would it hurt, if they did that? Especially when you have some folks reporting that the one elemental boss hasn’t spawned in days on some realms. Believe I saw that on the bug report, or customer support page.

Imagine… people getting mad about the drop rates on a mob called “Sha of Anger”… seems like that is one time Blizzard actually designed it right.

Storm it seems hasn’t played nice in almost a week from what I’m reading. So glad I knocked the trinket out day one. Then it was just mindlessly kill to level and gear.

Is the spawn realm specific? Because no matter what server I go to, I don’t see storm anywhere, and haven’t for days.

Still have yet to see a storm even spawn across the entire prepatch

It’s the same for all servers.

I saw him a few times but that was the first few days. After I got the trinket I only went to the same spawn location to level and collect currency. Which elemental it was mattered not at that time.

I know this community can be really rude at times, but I’m actually surprised at the number of people who are just like “you suck for missing out”. The event had 2 weeks. One of the weeks was Thanksgiving. People worked and traveled and spent time with family. The spawn chances were random and we often saw all spawns as the same one. Not to mention the drop for the pieces was RNG. Yes people can trade you, but that was just another chance of hoping someone would.

I am fine with RNG and farming. I just don’t see how it’s anyone’s fault for thinking they would be able to finish the event over the weekend. It was plenty of days to see all 4 elementals spawn. We just didn’t. That’s not fun.

Telling people it’s their own fault for waiting for the last few days is just silly. The event lasted until today. Excusing the poor design of bad RNG spawns just makes it like the event was only a week long instead of the two we were supposed to have.

I’m just online consolidating stuff and buying last gear with my primaevel essence, and I noticed I have a still-tradable storm sitting in my bags right now!

Fire was the one that took me the longest!

Go figure!

Because basic RNG with no mitigation programming for adverse runs is a lazy method of loot disbursement. Blizzard uses this for everything they possibly can, and are both unapologetic and disdainful toward their player base about it. We have every right to call them out for it, and poking fun at your fellow players concerning this is churlish.

basic RNG is what we got. complain that basic rng isnt good and listen to the crickets blizzard gives you in response.

get enough people who care enough to walk out the door and they might change that but as it stands it is probably significantly easier to imput an item onto a loot table and assign it a drop rate and call it a day

Unno man, I saw basically nothing but storm invasions when I was doing the events. Water invasions however? I had to wake up at 2am for those.

You’re being facetious. I’m bringing up an issue with a bug and asking Blizzard if anything can be done. There isn’t anything wrong with that.
