Storm Chaser Achievement Suggestion

A lot of us are doing old storms to trying and get the achievement done for A World Awoken. I’ve noticed that in the past 48 hours, only 90% of elemental storms have taken place in the Azure Span. I think we should bump that up to 100%.

I’m really thankful that I haven’t been able to progress Thaldraszus or Ohn’ahran Plains at all and I think I would really benefit from even more storms in the Azure Span. Thanks!

It needs to go on a rotation for the zones. it has been nothing but azure span with a sprinkle of waking shores for 3 days now.

Don’t worry they’ll fix this about a month before TWW prepatch begins.

Should have been this way since the beginning, but I think I’ll take more Azure Span actually.

Azure span has three locations for storms whereas plains has only 1? Thaldraxus and WS have 2. A cycle is needed for these.

They should just all spawn at once. This nonsense is ridiculous nonsense.

Tell me about it. I’ve had Azure Span done long ago, but now need the missing ones. With a 3 hour rotation and me checking wowhead for current one up and it’s always the span.

Blizz needs to just open it to one storm per zone and the zones storm rotates between the four types.

Its always in Azure Span with the fire element. This is going to take months at this rate. Have the storms up at all zones or have them rotate between zones like the Grand Hunts.

A companion and I have developed a rather unhealthy ‘observation’ of this one storm every three ish hours, and 99% of the time it’s the damned Azure Span. Why on earth are these not in a set rotation? Or why are they not all up at once? There are so many time-consuming things in this game that surely a little TLC for old events isn’t too much to ask.

Oh look its azure span again :')

Surely there’s a quick fix to alleviate this. Even just bringing it back to how it was at launch would be a win. Just please, do something. One storm every 3 hours with a relatively small chance of it in the plains or Thaldrazzus is bad.

A weekly rotation would be great. I don’t care if I have to wait 4 weeks to get the zone I need, just knowing it’s a matter of waiting and not obsessively checking every 3 hours to be disappointed would go a long way.

Yeah I second this. I go to bed at night and I know that it’s gonna pop ones I need while I sleep.

UPDATE:

Since this post was made at 10 AM EST (over 12 hours ago), every single elemental storm has been located in the Azure Span, except ONE, which was a Sandstorm in Thaldraszus. This is criminal.

A set rotation would help so much.

The Tuskarr are to blame for this. Their foul magics (soup) bring about the wrath of the elemental lords to lay siege to Azure Span, over and over.

They do need a rotation at least.
It would be nice if every day was 1 zone all day and it rotated through all 4 elements. Each time around it starts on next element so all timezones get a window for all elements. That would also mean you don’t need to wait forever for the zone needed.
I have none of this done and I am already dreading this needlessly grindy and RNG system.

Hey guys, I’m guessing we have a better chance of getting Blizzard to notice if we post about the storm rotation issues in the Bug Report forum.

Someone made a Bug Report earlier. Please add a comment, like, and bookmark to that thread. Thanks and good luck with your meta achievement progress.

I actually had no idea that elemental storms happened anywhere but Azure Span :joy:

There should be a rotation just like the bosses in the Maw when we had to do them all. There was a rotation and you could calculate, if you missed only 1 or 2 bosses, at what time and when they would be up (simple maths). As the storm have 16 differents storms to complete, there should be an exact rotation every 2 hours, which means it would be on a rotation of 32 hours. That way, if a storm we need happens at night i.e. on monday at 3AM, but you are asleep because you have work next morning, then you can calculate 3AM +32 hours, which will be 11AM tuesday, and 7PM wednesday, etc.
This way, it’s not removing the work to do them all, because 200 mobs to kill X 16 times is still work, and still requires time invested to do them all. But it removes the randomness that every players hate when it comes to do a Meta (which is already a big work itself).
And if you want another idea: just set 2 storms every 2 hours instead of one every 3hours.

By the way, it’s Azure Span again. =3

So have Azure Span done, two more in Waking Shore, 3 more in the Plains and I haven’t event seen the fourth zone.

Between this and the Forbidden Reach Achivements, I’m never going to finish this.
