Storm; A problem for Taivan achievement

In case you don’t know, it’s account wide so if you have alts you can do the purple bag on all of them. Managed to get the last one I needed that way last week. It has the highest chance of dropping from the purple bag, but can drop form blue, green and white according to wowhead.

I don’t; I’m farming the common bags right now.

Not me complaining about those points and paying for sub + expansions, so right back at you.

Storm chaser is degenerate. Needing 1 combo left, I have a 3.5% chance every 3 hours to try to get it completed. Let’s assume I don’t go the degenerate route and set an alarm for when I am sleeping and have real life stuff going on, let’s say I have 3 chances a day at it. Say 5 pm edt, 8 pm edt, and 11 pm edt. Because I am lazy and dumb, I used some AI program to calculate the average days needed to get it and it said 28. The robot can’t be wrong.

I’d rather just play the game and grind out more mobs on a guaranteed rotation than this RNG fest. Having to check something every 3 hours for 28 days just is irritating.

I mean, the game does have other content too, shame you don’t know that tho.
But you are easy to make money off, so companies are happy with you.

I don’t think you understand what you wrote, even less what I did. Or are you intentionally shizo posting?

I must be a noob, i though the 15 hours clicking on treasures were bad.
So the storm rates and rotation are not ideal too and filled with unnecessary spawn rate nerfs.
For the love of god at least reverse the nerfs related to taivan and no more mounts behind those meta all exp things achievs.

Finished up the Eons Fringe Achv today so Storm Chaser is what’s keeping me from finishing the meta, got home to see the current storm is in everyone’s favorite place still lol. Still hoping for a fix to make this a bit more doable because right now it doesn’t seem to respect anyone’s time in its current format

Why not? They already changed it once before. There used to be two storms up at once, they just need to go back to that.

Hi, it’s me. I am going the degenerate route. I don’t recommend it.

This would help a lot.

TBH they might change it in 4 months, but this company has left nonsensical things, bugs, annoyances in this game forever and I would be shocked, but happy, if they changed it now.

And… now we have two storms at once makes all the trolling in this thread even worse now.

I legit cannot see the second storm. Wowhead says there are storms in Waking Shores and Thaldraszus, I can only see the one in Waking Shores.

The World Quest in Tyrhold apparently blocks you from seeing it. Last time I saw the quest, I could still see thst there was a storm up, but not now.

I flew over there just to make sure, and the storm didn’t register while I was in Tyrhold. Is it just a visual thing or are you saying that I actually have to complete the WQ for the storm to “phase in”? I don’t remember that happening before.

The storm ended half an hour ago.

Yeah, obviously, I was checking on it while it was still active. I guess I’ll wait to see what happens with the next one. Ended up going to Waking Shores instead, where not a single rare spawned the entire time I was there (I’m still trying to get the lariat recipe). Whereas all rares were up at Tyrhold which doesn’t happen with an active storm (tryhards in their raid groups nuke the rare before you can even figure out what level of the structure it’s on, usually by the time my RareScanner goes off, the rare is dead).

Sorry, from the way your post was written, it sounded like you had just checked. Strange, were the mobs buffed?

Do you mean the regular Tyrhold rares or the ones that spawn from the Storm? I’m sure you know that the laraot recipe only drops from the Storm-specific rares.

If you just mean the storm-specific rares, then doesn’t them still being there prove there was a storm beforehand?

Yep, they need spawn protection.
