Yeah there were 3 total in SL. The weathered one that you got from the daily. The stylish black one, and the countess’s parasol. I’m at work rn so I can’t easily link the wowhead articles from my phone.

I was about to start working on the Meta the other day until I saw the one about the storms. I didnt see much of a point after that. I never really liked them when they was an actual event so i barely bothered. Even during prepatch I didnt do them that much.

Agreed. Haven’t done the storms stuff much and don’t have any parts of it done. Seeing how it is RNG, requires 200 mobs each, and only 1 is up at a time is horrible. I also think they need to lower some requirements and make the storms easier to find.
Ideally, I wish they had just made it like “kill X number elemental-empowered mobs per zone” so you could do any of the storms types, just kill the number of mobs.
As it is this achieve is a pain especially if you are behind like me. It makes me not want to try but I want the mount. I truly hope it does not go away when DF ends at least.

Ad hom doesn’t discredit a point being made. I’m neutral on the thread but folks throwing out debate terms when it isn’t a debate is stupid. It’s like citing traffic laws during nfl games

I’m somewhat agreeing with you, OP.
Maybe not 4 up all at once, but something needs to be done about the speed at which they pop up. I can’t see myself staying up or setting an alarm for 3 AM for a storm in the near future. I’ve done it for rarespawns before, won’t happen again.

I was wondering why I only saw one Storm in Ohn"aran Plains since the Patch started. I didn’t realize the game chooses between each spawn point and type of Storm each time. That’s rough.
I didn’t read most of what that person typed, but it’s very typical of her to go into threads being rude and condescending, and then to claim victimhood when people are fed up with her attitude. She also has friends who back her up and support this trolling.

Eh… it’s not really hijacked, when the RNG is the issue and a problem in the other meta achievement, as well.
It branched. That happens a lot. Should it be its own thread? Maybe. But the point some of us were trying to make is we’re seeing this RNG frustration in both right now.

OP mentions frustration over one type of RNG. Others mention frustration over similar other types of RNG in similar content.
Threads branch. It happens a lot. Point still stands regardless: RNG is frustrating in meta achievements.

There’s a new meta achievement for Dragonflight. “A World Awoken” (I think).
If you do ALL THIS STUFF (and, it’s a lot), you get, I think, a mount (actually you’ll get several).
In SL this was Veildstrider, which rewarded a title. They just brought Veilstrider back, but no title now.
One of the achieves of the Meta, is a Storm chasing achieve, which I assumes means doing something during the elemental storms that plagued the Dragon Isles early on, but are now more rare (since we KICKED THE PRIMALIST fannies back to the hibachi and snow cone machine!).
Anyway, its a big achievement, it’s the “do everything in DF” achievement.
I’m working on it as we speak.

I do wish it was on a schedule instead of random so I didn’t have to remember to check every 3 hours to see that it’s still in Azure Span.

Every RNG quest or event should just be moved to a rotation. Why it isn’t after we’ve been complaining of these things since Legion is beyond me.

Yeaah. Past day for me has pretty much been: Get home from work. Check status. Storm I don’t need. Do something else for 2~3 hours. Check again? Storm I don’t need. Go to sleep. Wake up? Check status. Storm I don’t need. Idle around forums a bit. Check status. New storm I don’t need. WELP, time to do other stuff.
It’s made even more annoying when you consider that the chance of a storm you need goes down the more you complete, so I’m going to be dreading when I’m on my last few and seeing that every storm is going to be one I don’t need.
