That’s way better. It gives people the confidence that they develop for the game instead of a cash grab out side of the game
Compared to giving it out like EA’s Battlefront 2

How is it better? You can still buy it with a credit card.

That’s the problem of tokens, Mythic runs etc. But it’s different when it’s available only in game
Why though?
Both options I can buy it with gold through in game actions.
Both options I can buy it with a CC.
Mkali: Akston:Some people have a lot of fun making gold.
This, and not only that, but you get gold passively for literally every activity in the game. You can make your own fun. It might take longer to get the transmog, but it’s not going anywhere…
If gold is the argument, why don’t they add it in game for gold?
The store is in-game. The fact that others who don’t care about farming gold can get it for real money is their business, not yours.
And before you ask, no, I don’t think every cosmetic reward in the game should be accessible via the store - which they aren’t.

Because allowing a game to profit from:
AND
lays the foundation to them milking you for money outside the game.
This doesn’t belong in a pay to play game. Any cosmetic like this should be added in game.
That doesn’t answer my question.
I already showed how they can profit from it regardless of it being on the cash shop or in game.
I already showed how you can get the item without spending a single real life dollar.
That’s the problem of tokens, Mythic runs etc. But it’s different when it’s available only in game
Honestly.
Was there much of an uproar when they put up Hood of hungering Darkness up in the shop?

Just because we have tokens doesn’t mean we should allow this nefarious practice of freemium cosmetics in a pay to play game.

Yes I believe so. I don’t think Blizzard cared
It answers your question.

Ok.
So your answer is that it should be in game, even though it changes nothing about it. I guess if thats the route you want to go. Sounds like a weak point if it has zero difference.

Not a weak point.
If Blizzard wants to go the freemium route end Subscriptions and make WoW buy to play.
That’s fair for both sides.
If you point changes nothing, its a weak point.
In game items can be bought with a CC if one is so inclined.
In store items can be bought with in game gold if one is so inclined.
Moving it from store to vendor doesn’t change a person’s ability to purchase it with a CC or gold.

The difference is that in game items don’t require real world currency.
You’re using the excuse of tokens to justify you have a strong point. In reality you’re on the same shaky ground you claim I’am on.
The difference is that in game items don’t require real world currency.
I can buy any store item without using any real world currency.
I might be mad if the transmog wasn’t so… flamboyant.
we should allow
We have no choice in this matter. You can either buy, or not buy.

That’s your flimsy excuse: tokens.
But remember: Every token bought makes Blizzard a lot of profit already.
That’s your flimsy excuse: tokens.
How is “reality” a flimsy excuse?
Am I supposed to forget they exist?
Here is how I look at it.
You have a job in real life to obtain real life currency to pay for your video game much like you have in-game currencies to pay for various items, including pay for your video game. Just because; someone doesn’t want to spend the money on and - I do not even kid you on this.
A six month time subscription for a “store mog” allows people like OP and a streamer’s following to be toxic as all fel and nightmare. It is much like keeping a RaF friend subscribed for the Explorer’s Garb.
I don’t have to change your mind, you aren’t changing mine either. I can just sit here and shake my head considering you have made two or three additional threads about this exact same “issue” when it really isn’t even an issue.
Dalfurane:we should allow

It’s your illusion that we don’t have a choice.
Community backlash is what forced no flying into pathfinder.
