A mount aimed at 5 year olds.
I just thought that odd since classic is the thing that is going to split the game apart and in the end benefit no one, yet they seem to be all for classic.
It’s not that people buy the mount that’s significant - I’ve bought plenty of mounts, services etc. It’s that the store is the only place to get the mount. It feels dirty and tainted. But If you like it good for you. I still think it’s stupid and devoid of cool factor because of where it comes from. It’s why I don’t ride my storebought mounts. Would return them for store credit if posible xD. Maybe use the money for race changes or a server transfer.
Get a job.
I’m not out $25 dollars.
Cause I just bought tokens to buy it, it’s one of my favorite mounts.

I don’t see this particular style of cosmetic sale part of the problem with the industry.
How Path of Exile/Grinding Gears Games does it’s loot boxes though is down right reprehensible.

All you naysayers seem to forget even blizzard cash shop mounts can be bought with gold, You can probably buy like, half the cash shop mounts with the amount of gold it takes to buy that stupid AH mount.

The problem with this statement is, you are using truth and logic.
These things tend to confuse people.
They just can’t wrap their heads around farming gold, buying a token, and transferring that into currency to make purchases off of the shop.
Is it a cash shop? Sure, for people like me that make 25 bucks a hell of a lot faster than 300k gold.
Is it a gold shop? Yep. For most of the more frugal players that enjoy farming gold.
Can you literally get anything from the blizzard shop without spending a single nickel? Yup, farm gold. You can “earn” literally everything Blizzard offers, from Mounts to Services, just buy spending gold you got in game.
Dunno why that is so hard for people to comprehend.

They wouldn’t make these mounts if it wasn’t to sell them.
It’s not like they would just be in the game if they weren’t on the store. They simply wouldn’t be made period.
I can agree with you that these mounts would never be made. I don’t agree with the concept that in game mounts do not match the quality of store bought mounts (again in terms of textures,animations,effects not design).
What motivation do the developers have of releasing mounts of the same quality into the game when simply recoloring horses takes far less time and in a round about way promotes cash shop sales?
Now if wow dropped its subscription and it was made clear that the cash shop was a replacement for that I could understand such decisions without that I simply don’t agree with the practice as it walls of content from a subscription pay via a paywall. It makes it so that you pay for the game, pay a monthly sub, and then buy items via the cash shop.
It effectively makes it that your paying for the game three times in order to have the option to obtain all the content designed for it.
The motivation is that it adds to the attraction of the game since I am sure there are less than 25% of players who buy from the cash shop and they have to have a reason to buy the game as well.
So you expect to be able to get all the content from the game and not put forth the effort ? That really is what it boils down to now that you can buy these items with gold. Your argument is outdated.
This kind of seems like an absurd argument to defend the practice of obtaining mount via credit card doesn’t it?
I imagine most people use gold to buy it - why wouldn’t you ? The mount costs like 250k gold - cheaper than the frog mounts.

The cost of WoW token is the same across all North America realms…only EU and other countries outside of the US have difference prices for WoW tokens.
The Japanese have a system of gambling were win small branded balls rather then money to claim it is not gambling. Each place that has this system has a shop next door that exchanges these metal balls for good and or money…
It is still the same system just with a middle man added to it. Now the token is a whole other topic one that I am not a fan of either since I think it contributed to large amount of problems in the game but at the very least it is a bit harder to make the case it walls off content.

But, so is the lightforged warframe, caravan brutosaur, etc, stupid and devoid of cool factor? They are also expensive gold mounts. More expensive than using gold to buy the fox mount in fact.
But I am rather enjoying the game. Sure there are things that can and should improve, but overall I am having a great time, and my brand new fox mount is amazing.
The fact that you feel it’s in a horrid state does not make it so for me. If you don’t like something that’s fine. I don’t like pie for instance, and guess what, I don’t buy pie!
