I remember those.
Yea, I don’t miss that type of trashfire gameplay at all.
I remember those.
Yea, I don’t miss that type of trashfire gameplay at all.
Because they know this is the only way someone would…
Are you referring to me,like h… I am I wanted it but i’m on a lowbie toon.
I don’t miss them either, its why I came to WoW.
Still doesn’t mean I am perfectly fine with dying over and over so some griefer kiddie can get his jollies at my expense.
It’s too bad not everyone has an egalitarian mindset.
ditto ten chars
I remember PVP in the early MMOs, and this event is nothing like that.
No XP loss, negligible gold loss, no injuries or status aliments, you can fly away from the battlefield, no one can steal your gear, and it only lasts a week.
Seriously, it’s sickening how selfish this community is. We are not asking for Blizzard to cancel the event and leave everyone out of it, all we are asking is for them to keep what they said and give us the option to opt out of it while letting the rest of the players who enjoy this opt in and enjoy their event without ruining it to us.
100% agree. I don’t think I’ve ever turned WM on and I’ll be avoid SW for the week as well.
Google “Fallacy of Relative Privation.”
I don’t care if other people want to do it, fine, but stop forcing me to do it.
But aren’t they only force flagging people who enter a single city? Aren’t there like, a plethora of other cities to settle in for the week? For those who wish to PvP, Orgrimmar is wonderful. It feels real. It feels like an authentic scourge attack. For those who don’t, they can go almost anywhere else for the time being. I just can’t imagine how lame a scourge attack would feel if the zombies only targeted 25% of people in a city
Lame for you, not to others. Why should 75% be affected so 25% doesn’t find it “lame”?
But you’re not that affected. You just can’t enter Orgrimmar for like, seven days. I’ve gone longer without going to a hub before. You can do almost any other content in the game for a single week. It’s just a prepatch event. It’s not a permanent change.
Caught me off-guard when I logged in SW and got flagged. Got hit by plague in Darkshire, turned into a ghoul after I ported to SW. lol
People who are complaining should lighten up. Not everything in life is scripted.
Blizzard really needs to stop catering to people who have fun at others’ expense.
When one’s argument is predicated on a comparison between two similar events, it is fair game to point out how said events are dissimilar.
Part of Cairnage’s argument was to compare the current event to the chaotic, open ended PVP of games like the Neverwinters and Runescapes of yore. Therefore, it was perfectly logical to point to the myriad of ways this is different.
Also, declaring “your argument is fallacious” and nothing more is, in itself, a fallacy.
If they were going to do this why now? Reset was on Tuesday wait til then people have thing to do in all fairness.Come on.
You are a rogue. You aren’t forced into PvP or not. If by some miracle you run into Alliance out in the world, all you do is cloak and vanish, or stealth if you see them first. You are the most capable class in the game of picking and choosing who you engage in combat with by far.
You can live.
You’re being ridiculous with this comment. I’m in Orgrimmar right now and I don’t even see a single ghoul, or corpse. No one is flipping out, no one is yelling, no one is losing their brains. I fail to see how H-MG could be that terrible given it’s Horde MG.
To be fair, I’m not trying to defend those who troll using the zombie event to do so. I’m just saying that if we give a major city to those who want to partake in the event for a week, what’s the real harm? Those who don’t want to partake have plenty of other options for the next seven days. Those who do can feel immersed.
