Flightstones, Whelplings Shadowflame Crests, Drake’s Shadowflame Crests, Wyrm’s Shadowflame Crests, Aspect’s Shadowflame Crests, Lesser Crests of Honor, Crests of Honor, Greater Crests of Honor, Lesser Trophy of Conquest, Trophy of Conquest, Greator Trophy of Conquest, Spark of the Shadowflame, Splintered Spark of Shadowflame… OMG just stop. Every freaking expansion we have to load our bags up with 50 different currencies. Just stop with the gear upgrading. Who thought this was a good idea? Here’s a 1/8 piece of honor, now go do mindless trivial things to get it up to 8/8. Even though you’ll replace it before it even gets past 4/8. These upgrades are meaningless.
At least upgrading M+ gear with Valor makes sense. Just give us gear that scales with the difficulty of the task. Stop with the nonsense. I would like to enjoy other parts of the game, not spend all of my time doing mindless “busy work”
10.1 in a nutshell You spin the Wheel of Mayhem to go up the Ladder of Chance. You go past the Mud Hut, through the Rainbow Ring to get to the Golden Monkey, you yank his tail and boom - you’re in Paradise Pond!" Each of these sections of the game are interspersed with questions of general knowledge for each player, and the choice of whether to pick Google or Wicked Wango cards, or pass play to the opposing contestant. Wicked Wango cards determine whether you go higher or lower (though higher or lower than what is never explained). There are also various other rules, including holding your breath while your question is being read, a Hopping Bonus (in which you must hop on one foot, changing legs between questions) and a Backwards Bonus, where the correct answer must be repeated backwards. The Hopping Bonus can only be used in the Super Speedy Speed Round, where the contestant must answer as many questions as possible within a time limit. There are also Audio Questions. It is implied that one of the rules is that contestants are not allowed to talk to each other. You can use an Angel Pass for a free turn; these can be attained when picking a Google card, and can only be used once. Another Google card is the Gimme card, which means you gain all of the opposing players points. When climbing the Ladder of Chance, players may choose how many rungs they wish to climb, but must beware of the Hungry Monkey, which passes play back to the opposing player. The Time Turtle makes sure contestants don’t take too long answering questions. When a player loses, then they have been Bamboozled!
And 8 upgrades per item? This patch already has me exhausted with the tedious never-ending upgrades, that only lead to more upgrades, and upgrading the items has led to no feeling of reward. I am defeated by the knowledge that our gear will never be good enough, and we will never be done leveling.
I don’t get why they couldn’t just have the crests themselves with a lower drop rate on the mobs. No need to collect 15 of something to make 1 of something. Just make the 1 thing drop!
Eh, it’s nice that everybody has something to collect. The more I look at it the more it seems like gearing will be easier than ever this patch. But it is sooooo many currencies lol. Too bad they don’t just end up in our currency tab when we form them. I am trying to dedicate the bottom three rows of my bags to them now to make them look organized and less overwhelming.
You’re actually forgetting a large amount of currencies, once you consider all the random white items that are used to buy stuff from renown quartermasters.
I don’t know why they have to overcomplicate everything when FF14 already solved this issue with tomes (Even though raid drops are still annoying af).
They even let you upgrade your alt classes which is the equivalent of bind on account currency. But naw Blizzard is always trying to milk time out of us somehow.
I think the devs sometimes forget there’s a literal currency tab and they don’t need to waste our bags. But if they did that you’d have entire currency tab dominated by this system since there’s so many damn currencies for it.
Where is the happiness now? I’m underground where the sun doesn’t shine. There’s ash, lava, and sulfur everywhere. The mobs are intense. The mob density is intense. The rares are everywhere. And there are tons of currencies. Let’s get real here, we are just in The Maw with dragons. We actually never left, the Jailor has us in a fever dream.
