Yes. I am disagreeing because the complaint is based on not wanting to do something until its trivial, as the goals stated in this hypothetical scenario are extremely easy to accomplish now.

Sure it can, it’s kind of arrogant to think ones opinion is infallible. There are people who still have the opinion that the Earth is flat. There are those who are of the opinion that regardless of industry the customer is always right. Both of these ‘opinions’ are incorrect.

As someone who basically lived in Horrific Visions back in BfA, the idea of being able to literally live in them for the purpose of xmog farming while waiting for actual progression is both funny and sad.
The nice thing is that I don’t have to wait whole weeks just to even enter it, and I don’t need to worry about the appropriate corruption level or cloak level. I am already full clearing and getting ludicrous amounts of mementos. If I can keep this pace up I should have at least one of the mounts, and all my alts should have head enchants… by weekly reset… At minimum. The extra time spent running is also a good way to get early boosts to higher tribute levels, which will also make future runs measurably easier.
All that being said, I am probably going to wait until week 3 to start on mask gathering (other than the ones you incidentally get completing the content).
As long as players keep eating sh**, Actiblizz will continue feeding it to them.

Ya this whole timegating is so stupid. There are reasonable reasons and places to have timegating such as the new raid rep giving an increasing dmg buff as the weeks pass or making sure gear progression from a start of a major patch is smooth and people dont just finish gearing week 2 or something.
But why on earth are we timegating content on top of timegating the contents of the content? and its a .5 patch for catchup and some bonus powers or just some fun new content to try. Thats the main problem people have with this timegating. Not because there is timegating, but because theres timegating on top of timegating. Had horrific visions came out at the start of the patch with this timegating, there def would not be as much backlash. Also cause patch launch sucked so hard and was lacking that also makes everything much worse.

Do you live in the USA if so then its your state that is putting a Digital Tax to your payment for the sub fee…see I live in a State that doesn’t do that now…I pay $14.99 each month…NO Digital Taxes on it…blame the right people now…you State Reps. I can buy stuff online and pay no State Tax as long as what I buy isn’t made in my State, if the product is made in my state then I pay taxes on it…
So many American players forget their State have added Digital tax to online gaming and buying…

Good Lord there has been Time Gating since this game came out 2004…story lines are time gated in a fashion now…if you don’t do the story from start to finish you don’t get the prize or toy or gear or whatever…and your only just complaining now …

People have been complaining about timegating for ages, this isn’t the first time. If you’re gonna lie, at least make it believable.
And also, this isn’t a new story campaign spread over a few weeks. This is literal copy pasted content from 3 expansions ago. Content that has already been timegated 1 MONTH since 11.1.5 released.

A helper isn’t really the issue. The spec just isn’t good at big pulls on its own and for now that’s what you need to be doing to get the higher mask runs down.
I can do 4 masks if I really, really sweat, but I think 5 is just off the table which is a shame because other classes can breeze it. It is what it is, 4 week 1 was still a huge amount of fun.

People are complaining the drain reduction goes up every week instead of starting at five times what it is now immediately and making the whole thing extremely easy.
Well yes and no. I for one am complaining I can’t grind the unlocks to get it. I can run attempts ad infinitum and could then unlock, but there is this arbitrary time gating preventing it. If I earn the unlock by earning the momentos, there shouldn’t be any issue. Doing the work first week or week 2, 3, etc it shouldn’t matter.
Are they new here, or do they want “not timegated” content like the Brood of Nozdormu rep grind wasn’t timegated?
It’s the same as the content getting nerfed each week. It’s harder now, it will get easier, a LOT easier.
There is a difference between nerfing stuff as time goes on, and stopping someone from earning debuffs to make it easier because of arbitrary timelines.
